Genetic Ascension novel Chapter 1675

๏ปฟChapter 1675 Typical

Sylas' gaze flickered. He wasn't entirely sure what was happening, but what he did know was that there was probably no going back now.

Ancestor Analei suddenly sat up from her seat.

"...Well, I'll be damned..."

She blinked once and then directly stood up. In a flash, she vanished from her hidden underground practicing quarters. However, she hadn't made it far before the skies were covered.

"Fucking hell, don't you old bastards have something better to do?"

"I knew the moment you woke up nothing could go peacefully. What did you do this time, Fanelei?" ๐’ป๐‘Ÿโ„ฏโ„ฏ๐‘ค๐‘’๐‘๐‘›๐˜ฐ๐“‹๐‘’๐“.๐’ธ๐‘œ๐˜ฎ

A man with huge, drooping earlobes appeared before her. His belly was as large and solid as a wok, his skin carrying hints of a bronzed color-enough to make one raise an eyebrow, but not quite enough to seem unnatural to a human of Earth.

His earlobes drooped like long hair, even swaying slightly in the wind. Large gauges were dug out of their tips, but rather than hollow circles, they were spikes that seemed formed of extraordinarily heavy weights despite their small stature.

"Mind your own business, how about that?" the old Analei snarled.

The large-bellied man's eyes narrowed. If Fanelei was acting like this instead of just laughing and sneering at his face, this was bigger than he thought it was.

All cities had their problems. Who knew, a power outage of this scale might just be the mistake of a grunt somewhere. However, even with their stature, since they were awake, they should take action.

A power outage of this scale wasn't just a matter of it being out; it was also a safety issue. If it was an enemy attack and they ignored it, things could get far worse before they got better, so they chose caution first.

This, though...

The large-bellied man wasn't the only one who appeared in the skies like this. There were three others, all of them looking toward Fanelei with raised brows.

"Fuck," Fanelei cursed under her breath, and then suddenly slapped her palms together.

BOOM.

A ripple spread out, but unlike the abrupt sound, it was incredibly gentle.

The land behind Fanelei lit up and ripples began to come from it as well. This result, though... even she wasn't quite expecting.

For the second time in what felt like just as many seconds, she stood in shock and awe.

The Analei Founders were reacting.

"What is this?" The large-bellied man's shock was written all over his face. "Fanelei, if you're doing something that will harm the rest of our families, I will forget any previous connections we've had."

Fanelei was too busy feeling out the changes to react. It was like she hadn't heard the words spoken at all. In fact, she was still floored.

The Analei Founders reacting to an F-tier? What the hell was happening?

The trouble was...

The slowest to react was Malikhi. Unlike Leia, he had no familial relation to Faneleiโ€”at least not any connection that wasn't removed by three or more generations. However, he too took a knee.

As for Leia, she found a crease in the ground that was particularly interesting to stare right at. She never felt very comfortable when her grandmother was awake.

"You've caused a great deal of trouble," Fanelei said indifferently.

Sylas didn't reply. He didn't think this was a sentence that could be replied to.

"Typical." Fanelei shook her head. "Dammit. That was supposed to hold them for at least half a minute."

BANG. BANG. BANG.

Three Ancestors appeared in quick succession, each one with auras infinitely close to the S-tier.

Sylas had never seen even one expert of this caliber, let alone four of them all in one area like this.

"What is this, Fanelei? A human boy?" The large-bellied Ancestor was even more confused. They had come here guns blazing, expecting to find something sinister, only to see the very last thing they could have expected.

"What happened to minding your own business? I saved the city, did I not?"

"After you probably had a huge part in nearly destroying our entire infrastructure."

"I wasn't the one who drew these faulty fucking Runes, now was I?"
