Sylas reached forward as the world around him shook. His body seemed to light on fire, plumes of smoke wafting from him as impurities were flushed away.
It was only the transition from Level 50 to Level 51, and yet it felt like everything was changing as a result.
The world bent and whined, and the Duchess' eyes couldn't help but widen. Was this indeed a person just going from F-tier to E-tier?
Of course, if she had her full slate of memories, she probably wouldn't care to be so shocked. All she had for reference were people in this world, individuals that were heavily suppressed.
But even so... if one were to compare an S-grade Race to Sylas, the gap was likely too big to have resulted in this sort of reaction from the Duchess.
However, Sylas was no longer concerned with this by any great margin. Now that he had Reaper Sealwright, it was only a matter of time before he made up for all the ground he lost.
Right now, he no longer needed to chase the absolute perfect foundation. He instead needed to find a way to strike a balance between unearthing his foundation and potential to the greatest extent possible, and moving forward.
If he didn't excavate enough of his potential, then he would be too weak to continue making the best use of Reaper Sealwright, and his other advantages would fall by the wayside. In addition, whatever resources or successes he would certainly need to have to complete what Reaper Sealwright asked of him would be too far away if he was too limited in his immediate ability.
But by the same token, if he didn't improve or remained too stagnant, he would never be able to understand Reaper Sealwright at a high enough level that he would be able to take advantage of it to the fullest extent in the first place.
Sylas had long decided that he would progress faster from now on. It was just a matter of how fast.
That answer would be decided by how quickly he could continue to build out his Human Simioid Race and his Grimblade Royal Hero Line.
However, more important than any of those two was his Rune Mastery.
