Sylas appeared high above Meikai, his fist pulsing with a radiant might.

He didn't want to, nor did he need to explain why he wanted to be the one to fight Meikai. Could he have had the Duchess hold her off while he dealt with all the others, then they could have fought her together?

Sure, he could have.

But he didn't want to.

Meikai wasn't caught off guard in the slightest. In fact, her head slammed forward so speedy a dome of dense wind formed over it. Streaks of air currents gathered in such a dense substrate that it felt like a wall of steel.

Head and fist met and Sylas was forced to activate [Hollow Veil], his body turning incorporeal before his entire arm shattered to pieces.

Meikai lost the power she was leaning into and stumbled forward, her body over-extending itself.

Meikai grunted, her sharp teeth being slammed into one another. Her eyes bulged with pain, but before she could respond, Sylas had already appeared above her once again.

His heel descended and a flaming dense cloud of emerald-gold Will pulsed with wild life around him.

Pulling on his telekinesis, Sylas' body weight multiplied several times over. At the same time, he regained some control over Spacetime forcefully, catching Meikai off guard.

This time, the Azurex D-tier genius was kicked downward with such force her jaw slammed into the ground below in the blink of an eye.

Sylas punched once, and yet ten fists layered over them, separated across time and space, but meeting together in the end.

Meikai was knocked to the side.

Sylas punched a second time. Twenty fists layered atop one another, expanding, growing, forming a giant emerald gold over the sky, and Meikai was knocked to the other side.

BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.

Sylas stood in the air, a string of combos followed by form more perfect than the eyes could detect and strength more potent than the body could feel descended.

Meikai was trapped in a maelstrom of violence and she barely seemed to realize that Sylas had allowed her to think she had ripped away his Spacetime control for a time for only one reason... So she would lead her people to death.
