"Perfect." Sylas nodded to himself, clenching and unclenching his fists.
He took a look at the A-tier creature who had been staring at him this entire time. He gave it a nod and then directly left.
The creature didn't try to stop him, just watching the human walking off into the distance curiously. Even if Sylas had a God S-tier as a backer, the fact he was so calm himself was... fascinating.
The creature's beak opened as though it was going to speak. It had so many questions.
Normally, it wouldn't say a word to these invaders and would just directly strike them down. But Sylas was, obviously, unique.
The A-tier creature hadn't made it to its current level by being a fool or a coward, though. It had been planning on taking the risk to attack Sylas and get him out of its pool until it sensed the S-tier aura that suddenly peeled off of him and into the pool.
Although it was only the slightest percent chance, the odds of it reaching the S-tier had actually ticked up instead of down thanks to Sylas. As such, it couldn't very well be as angry as it was before.
Creatures of a certain caliber already had intelligence comparable to humans, Gogo being an apt example. A creature that was of the A-tier was vastly smarter than the majority of humans.
It could see things others couldn't.
At that moment, though, Sylas came to a sudden stop.
"You can understand me, right?" Sylas asked.
The bird beast's gaze flickered, but it was enough for Sylas to take it as a yes.
So, he pointed.
"Right there." Sylas said. "If you direct the poisonous S-tier energy toward that location, it will help you comprehend what you've most likely been trying to this entire time."
There was a reason this bird beast was so protective of this place.
During Sylas' journey around this fragmented Mancer Space, he had picked out a few regions that were closer to the Demi-God Realm than others. Every one of these locations had a powerful A-tier beast overseeing them.
Sylas had personally seen seven, but given the scope of the land, there might be a few that he had missed.
Regardless, these regions were the places that were most likely to give them a chance at reaching the S-tier.
Unfortunately, it was a bit of a catch-22. On the one hand, these locations had exactly what they needed, but on the other, they were nigh impossible to comprehend. And, because these were Will Constructs and not real beasts, they had an even harder cap than usual.
They didn't have the flexibility that bodies did, and didn't have the same reliance on bloodline that beasts could usually rely on. Anything they gained had to either be eaten or comprehended themselves.
Obviously, eating anything with S-tier Will in it would directly kill them.
However... what if there was a poison specifically designed to break down more powerful things into smaller, more digestible parts?
Now wouldn't that be quite convenient.
