Sylas had thought of a potential answer for this as well.
Use the system to cheat.
His eyes darted around endlessly, scanning the surrounding creatures one by one even as more and more of them teleported in.
Then he finally landed on one of them.
It was almost amusing, and also something no one would ever think, but he grasped it the moment he saw the small little creature.
"You."
A beam of red instantly appeared before Sylas. It landed in his palm then blurred, moving around his fingers and wrist so fast it looked like silky ribbons of crimson streaking around his limb.
The Ruby Finger Serpent.
It didn't make sense to choose this creature. Its most important feature was its Speed, and every other aspect of it was quite weak. It was maybe the strongest assassination-type Serpentes you could contract beneath the truly godly levels. But other than that, it couldn't have been further from the Hydra.
The Hydra was a large, imposing creature. In fact, even without understanding much of the history between the World Serpent and the Hydra, Sylas could imagine why they fought.
Why would you not want to dominate the title of largest creature there was?
The Hydra had a seemingly infinite number of heads, and the World Serpent was so large it could curl its body around galaxies. Even if they weren't originally enemies, the system liked to pit like kinds against one another to force evolution.
What would happen if a World Serpent could successfully integrate the abilities of a Hydra? What sort of super creature could be formed?
Compared to those large, imposing creatures, it was almost a joke to choose the Ruby Finger Serpentes.
Yet, that was exactly what Sylas did.
"Devour." Sylas said calmly.
The Ruby Finger Serpent suddenly stopped moving, standing at attention in Sylas' palm. Then, it shot out.
The first Serpentes it met didn't even resist. Under Sylas' command, how could they dare to resist in the first place?
The F-tier Ruby Finger Serpent ripped through the construct's head and it shattered apart.
Under Sylas' suppression, their stats might as well have been 0. The Ruby Finger Serpent met no resistance at all, let alone the fact it was already amongst the most dangerous creatures here in the first place.
Zipping around, one after another, the Ruby Finger Serpent insatiably devoured everything in its path, its soul construct bulging almost to the point of explosion.
It peered quite clear that if this continued, the Ruby Finger Serpent wouldn't be able to keep up with the digestion and would eventually kill itself, a true shameful display of the Sin of Gluttony.
Yet, it was bound to follow Sylas' orders. It didn't resist in the slightest, eating, and eating, and eating. It swallowed one Will after another, devouring the cores of every construct it rammed right through the forehead of.
"What the hell are you doing? That little thing is about to die."
Compared to the number of Serpentes here, the Ruby Finger Serpent had barely put a dent.
