Chapter 1974: Fathomless Rune Creation [Bonus]

[Bonus thanks to Whosayslama Daoist <3 no one says that bro. Hope that helps]

Ziel slowly wiped his face of blood, pulling a palm down from his forehead, across the bridge of his nose, and down to the end of his chin. He whipped his palm to the side, his gaze flashing with rage he was trying his best to suppress.

"I'm going to kill him. I'm going to fucking kill him."

Riqo sat in silence, not even wiping the blood from him. All Ziel was thinking about was his fury. All he was thinking about was how he was going to explain to their families that they had lost a Madness Disciple right in front of their eyes.

How could they even begin?

Wrath was practically a treasured guinea pig they had had for a while. He was much younger than he seemed and through him they had learned quite a lot about Madness Disciples and how they worked.

To lose such a valuable asset was devastating.

But to lose him like this.

BANG.

Riqo finally lost his own cool, the arm rest of his chair shattering as he slowly stood. His eyes wanted for nothing more than murder.

It was pure humiliation. Sylas didn't have to do things like this. He could have just killed Wrath and called it a day, but he didn't do it like that. Instead, he somehow managed to teleport Wrath across such an unfathomable distance, through the formation, only to make him explode right here.

Not only had he sprayed them across the face, but the entire facade and ambience of the ship was ruined.

What sort of ambience could there be when there was blood across every wall, carpet, ceiling, and window?

To say that he was furious was a severe understatement.

But he couldn't go yet. He knew he couldn't go yet.

Even for a power much weaker than the Buri, Riqo couldn't just trample The Sanctum whenever he felt like it. There was a reason they were slowly whittling away at their defenses.

While Rigo was only a C-tier, he was still too powerful. The formation would react as though he was a B-tier.

That was why Wrath was the perfect candidate. Normally, just walking around, despite being Level 201, his active appearance to the world was barely at the C-tier level, and much more like a particularly strong D-tier. That was how he had managed to make it into the barrier in the first place.

And now he was dead.

"What the fuck is that..." Ziel finally managed to say something other than a curse.

Through all the blood, it was hard to see what was happening with as much clarity as before, but their servants were already rushing to clean things even without their input.

That was when Ziel saw it.

"Just... what level... of Rune Mastery is that..."

Ziel felt like he wasn't breathing correctly.

This was the Skai Heaven. Their main stat was Will. That was to say that maybe other than the Wisdom stat Heaven, they had the largest population of Rune Masters, especially by ratio.

The Thryskai, especially, had a particularly large number. In fact, they were undoubtedly the best collection of Rune Masters in the Heaven. In the Mortal Realm, the Weaver Guild couldn't hold a candle to their Sona and Buri Clans.
