[Bonus chapter thanks to Chrono <3]
Sylas didn't have a full and detailed story. But if he had to guess, it was almost certainly related to the rules of the Heaven changing and shifting.
Names were important, they carried weight and importance. The Milky Way was the galaxy that birthed Earth, and Earth had reached a point where it had become the so-called King World of the galaxy. Its influence spread far and wide, and the ultimate result was that the presence of the Milky Way had begun to influence the entire Sector, and then beyond to the entire Horizon.
There was definitely a deeper, underlying reason that Sylas was still missing here. But what was obvious was one thing.
If there was ever going to be an opportunity to elevate an entire Sector, this would be the easiest it probably ever would be.
Sylas just didn't know exactly how he would do that just yet, and he had only given himself two months to figure it out.
But first…
He pulled out One's spatial ring. He had only given it a cursory glance before, but he knew that he was very much correct about his previous assumptions, and at the same time, not aggressive enough with them.
Yes, One did have an obnoxious number of resources to prep for his progress to the B-tier.
What Sylas hadn't expected as much of was the fact that One would also be trusted with what looked like a Sect's worth of resources on top of that.
They were separated into two piles, one for the B-tier, and the other very clearly with items all the way up to the A-tier. But it wasn't just the resources in the latter. There were whole collections of books, tomes, skills, and things of the like.
It seemed that the Seeing Eye Guild had prepared a full move to the Skai Heaven. They hadn't been able to bring their A-tiers over just yet, so they sent One instead, and maybe for good reason, they felt he would be untouchable.
It was too bad he ran into Sylas.
Now, the path the A-tiers had been going to use was almost certainly destroyed with the destruction of the Seeing Eye Guild's planet as well.
They were cut off from the Skai Heaven, their geniuses were dead, and now all their foundational resources were in Sylas' hands.
This was the wealth of an entire Guild just in the palm of his hand.
And this was no normal Guild. This was a Guild that controlled an entire Horizon back in the Cryst Heaven.
Sylas wasn't sure what the situation in the Cryst Heaven was, but even if the Seeing Eye Guild wasn't the most powerful of the powers there, they were definitely close. This wasn't a situation where they were bottom feeders, otherwise they wouldn't have been useful to the Angels in the first place.
While Sylas wasn't yet sure exactly how he was going to elevate an entire Sector to the Demi-God Plane, he knew that it would definitely be easier with all of this. He probably wouldn't have to waste any time at all getting his hands on resources in the next two months, he could focus entirely on the actual process itself.
'I'll have to get Cassarae to organize all of this.' Sylas thought.
If they were being hoarded, there was only one group that could have them.
The Thryskai.
Sylas set those thoughts aside for the moment and pulled something out of the ring that truly caught his attention. Cassarae, who was still by his side, raised an eyebrow.
BOOM.
An enormous ancient circle of stone smashed into the ground, shaking the entire city.
Cassarae couldn't help but wonder just how powerful Sylas' Will was now. Taking items in and out of spatial devices seemed easy, but it required basically being able to wrap your entire Will around them. If you couldn't manage, then you couldn't do it.
A huge part of the reason the ancestors of the Seeing Eye Guild trusted One with these things was because they knew he wasn't even powerful enough to move them in and out just yet.
Yet, Sylas did it with ease.
"What is this thing?" Cassarae asked.
