Sylas' mind was racing. This treasure fixed several problems for him.
First was the problem of how he was going to accelerate Earth's ascension from his side. Even if Elara managed to do what he asked of her, it would be meaningless if Earth wasn't primed and ready.
But this treasure would allow him to purge the Galaxy of all its resources, then replace every mine with kernels of Demi-God energy.
The best part was that the treasure wouldn't have the burden of dealing with the replenishing. Instead, the system would do it because it was already priming them for an ascent in the first place.
Sylas would swap out the engine, and the system would provide all the gas. The only thing wrong with that analogy was that the system would actually be doing the much harder part.
The second would be a problem of resources in the upper realms. If he pulled this off, he would be able to use his Progenitor status to make Earth and the Milky Way cooperate with the treasure, thus allowing it to mine just fine even in the Demi-God Realm.
Would he have to be more hands-on to make that work? Yes. But it wouldn't matter if he was getting the valuable resources he needed.
The third problem was an actual method of forcing the galaxy to rise up with Earth.
If the system was focused on replenishing Earth and the Milky Way, the lines would blur and it would make an elevation of the entire galaxy as a whole far more possible.
The trouble was that that still wouldn't encompass an entire Sector. The treasure had a wide scope, but a galaxy was its utmost limit.
The question was should Sylas take a step back and accept a galaxy-wide ascension as enough, or should he press forward?
The treasure didn't rely on formations much, but they were still at least 20% of its function. Sylas didn't have the skill right now to improve what was effectively a treasure at the limits of the Mortal A-tier.
Even if he wanted to find a method, it couldn't be done this way.
A solution might be to move the treasure from galaxy to galaxy and replicate the same feat.
The problem was that there were thousands of galaxies in a Sector, and the only one Sylas could accelerate with his Progenitor status was the Milky Way. All the others would take three or four monthsβand the only reason it was that fast was because the Milky Way Sector wasn't very powerful in the first place.
One didn't need to be a math wiz to know that was simply impossible given the constraints Sylas was under.
So improving the treasure was impossible, and hopping it from galaxy to galaxy was impossible.
Sylas briefly thought about trying to become the Progenitor of the Sector, but he wouldn't even know where to begin. Before he did any of that, he would have to wipe out the Kaelthar Mortal Thryskai Clan, and the other Thryskai certainly wouldn't take kindly to that.
Plus, that would almost certainly reveal his intentions to Rhykan who already had far too much time to prepare to begin with.
As much as Sylas would like to be rid of a scourge like the Kaelthar that had annoyed him at every step of his journey, he always knew how to look at the bigger picture.
'β¦ I can't make this treasure better through formations. Butβ¦'
Sylas' eyes narrowed.
What made this treasure so valuable was the ore that formed it.
"Hey, you know I asked you a question, right?" Cassarae pinched Sylas' cheek, tugging on it.
"It's our ticket." Sylas said, pulling his cheek back into place.
"You're insane." Cassarae said.
