The number of golden monkeys only seemed to be growing. When Sylas first cast his gaze over, there had only been a few dozen, but now it was a few hundred, and in the distance there seemed to be hundreds more gearing up.

They had seemingly enraged the entire city.

Sylas came to a sudden stop.

What must have been at least 50 monkeys jumped at Gogo, their staffs at the ready. They pulled them back as far as they went, their bodies about to slash down all at once.

But Gogo unleashed a roar that froze every one of them in the air. Then, a blast of telekinesis sent them all flying.

His body snaked through the air, every pump of his muscles shattering the wind and ripping apart at space. But at other angles, it did the opposite, making the space stronger, more sturdy, more unmoveable.

And it was within this space that his enemies froze and he attacked, ripping them apart.

Gogo bit down, ripping a trio of monkeys to pieces. Then he swiped out his tail, wiping out another half dozen. Every moment came with the utmost carnage and violence.

Sylas rarely let Gogo fight on his own without direction, and often when he needed Gogo's power he would just Fuse. Though, he hadn't done that in a very long while.

But seeing the evolution of his abilities, Sylas could tell that Gogo had been studying the memories within his bloodline.

As his master, Sylas understood the best fighting tactics of the Basilisk Kings. They were commanders of the sky in their heyday, but their ability to fly went beyond just their telekinesis. It was instead in the powerful abilities of King's Bind and King's Shift.

In the distant past, these abilities had been invaluable to Sylas. He used them less often now, but only because there was no need to disturb Gogo during most of his battles these days.

King's Bind froze enemies in place, and King's Shift allowed Gogo to break the laws of causality and momentum, essentially changing an attack mid-swing without losing any momentum at all.

When those abilities were applied to the flight of a creature this large, it was devastating.

Even with wings, a creature as large as Gogo should have had very poor agility and it should have taken a very long time to gear up to his full speed.

But watching Gogo fight, one would have thought that he was actually the little Ruby Ouroboros attached to Sylas' ear right now.

He stopped and started, dodged and jerked, slashed and cut with the fluidity of an ambidextrous swallow.

By now, Gogo was well over a hundred meters long, but one would have thought his size was a hundredth of that. And when his speed alone wasn't enough, he'd use King's Shield to stifle enemies and then pierce his tail right through it and their bodies.

Sylas didn't know when King's Shield had become a defensive ability capable of polarized defense like that, but it had killed more golden monkeys than he cared to count at this point.

The ability to attack and defend at the same time, to raise a shield and attack right through it while your enemy could not… that was devastating.
