Sylas' roar sounded across the star system, but those that could hear it from afar were quite lucky to realize that the world of the Efivara had trapped its effects within its domain, forcing the power of the roar to multiply and wipe out everything in its path.
Hollow Call had strengthened in the past, but even then, it had only gone from being able to kill those with unformed Wills to those with weak Wills. Even at its very best, it could still only kill those with Shaping or Shaped Wills.
But right now, it was killing even those with Enlightened Wills.
It had some, but little to do with Sylas' improved True Infinite Will. And had almost nothing to do with the Hollow Wing itself.
To Sylas, the Hollow Wing had become far too weak to use as a Combat Mount these days. Even using a fusion between himself and it wasn't worth it.
It had to be remembered that usually, Sylas could only fuse with the Hollow Wing when he used the Scorned Wraps to obscure the vision of the system. As a Mount, he wasn't actually supposed to be able to fuse with it.
Right now, Sylas was able to do it without the Scorned Wraps because he had broken free of the system.
Still, the cost versus reward ratio wasn't there any longer, so Sylas hadn't cared to use the Hollow Wing in a very long time.
But right now, as his Comprehension of death increased, and he felt some of the characteristics of the Hollow Wing line up with it, he knew exactly what he had to do in order to maximize its power.
And the moment Sylas fused with the Hollow Wing, the constant eating at his body that the Death Runes were doing came to a complete stop.
Rather than eating away at him, it made him several times stronger, and as powerful as he was before, he was easily ten times as strong now, and his strength only seemed to be growing.
On a distant part of the opposite hemisphere, Gogo looked up from his rampage and roared back. But this roar was quickly overshadowed by Sylas' own.
Gogo pouted and then stamped his tail in annoyance. All his prey was dead now. He was having so much fun, then Sylas went and killed them all without his input or help.
What was most annoying was that Sylas had just said he'd let him have this half of the world.
Gogo threw a little tantrum, writhing around in the sand a bit before his pupils constricted and his head snapped up.
After a long while, Gogo's gaze relaxed and gave a compact huff.
Since Sylas wanted to play "superman" and kill everybody himself, then he could deal with this by himself too. Gogo wasn't helping.
Instead, he'd just bury himself here and have a little sun tanning session. He needed to stay in tiptop condition. After all, he would have a wife to go and pick up exceptionally soon.
To a Basilisk King, 50 years might as well be a blink of an eye. So he needed Sylas to stop being annoying and let him fight. Otherwise, his strength would grow too slowly.
But slowly, those extra thoughts faded away until all that was left was a man. A single man.
The corpses he dragged along with him turned to ash and then a wild grin spread across Mosun's face as his gaze landed on Sylas.
Radiant might pooled off from him in all directions, menacing and oppressive in impossible to describe ways.
Sylas' gaze didn't change in the slightest. Indeed, these people were truly one of a kind.
It really was joy being reflected in Mosun's eyes. His people had just been massacred, ripped apart and torn asunder, but he was smiling, not at the thought of ripping Sylas to pieces—though he certainly wanted to do that as well—but instead at the realization that he would have a chance to bask in true death.
"The God of Efivara has shined down Her smile upon me." His voice boomed.
Large plumes of ashes rushed up, attaching themselves to his skin and turning it grey with death.
Larger and larger plumes of it rushed forward from across the entire planet, and as he did so, his aura grew, and then grew further… Until it pierced through a barrier, a ceiling that kept so very many down beneath a heel of oppression.
Mosun shattered the barrier to the S-tier, his aura rolling out in waves and nearly pressing Sylas to the ground.
