Sylas wasn't the patient sort. He certainly wasn't the sort to care very much about the life of someone he had only just met either.
But saying something like this in front of his face, when Cheri was clinging to his arm…
This man had a death wish.
So Sylas would oblige.
"It seems that as long as you lived, you've never honed that sense of fear for death. So I will help you finish digging your grave."
Sylas' Lust Seed bloomed. Violet and dark aura shuddered around him.
Elder Bash looked over toward Sylas and sneered.
"Who the fuck do you—?"
Chi.
Elder Bash's tongue was ripped out of his mouth the instant his body froze, a pain ripping through him. A small, bloody hole was left in the middle of his forehead.
Slowly, he fell from the air. As heavy as he fell, in the eyes of those spectating, it felt to them like they were watching the fall of an autumn leaf. The life that had been snuffed out was no less inconsequential, no less utterly irrelevant.
Cheri's eyes opened wide. Hadn't Sylas said he couldn't handle people this powerful? What just happened?
Her eyes found themselves landing on Sylas' side profile, and for a moment, he felt like the only existence in the entire world, the only being she could have the heart to even look at.
BANG.
Elder Bash's body collapsed to the ground below, and soon after, his severed tongue slapped onto his face and then rolled to the ground by his side.
The audience stood up in horror, their eyes wide with shock.
Sylas didn't say anything more, and he didn't have to. The stark pink and red of the tongue said all that needed to be said.
Elder Bash had survived smacking the ass of the Matriarch, and yet he couldn't survive saying the wrong words to Sylas' woman.
The contrast between the legends and tales versus reality couldn't have been more obvious.
Chi. Chi. Chi. Chi. Chi.
In the air, one powerful existence after another appeared. Amongst the crowd, Ryn and Stone were present, but they were shaken as well.
Elder Bash was stronger than they were by a decent margin, yet he had died instantly.
Stone couldn't help but remember how Sylas had challenged him to battle. If Ryn hadn't stopped it then, would he be dead as well?
But the scariest part of it all was that… none of them could tell just how it was that Sylas managed to do this. How had he attacked? Where did the attack come from…?
