"Alright."
Sylas took a deep breath, and when he exhaled, he was already gone.
He appeared before the first giant in a flash, a blade dancing through the air right toward him.
His legs dropped, and he ducked down beneath it, his fist accelerating as he flexed his quads in an explosive upward movement.
Every time he fought, he felt like his control over his body reached a new realm. He didn’t pause for a single moment as his fist ripped through the giant’s chest, leaving a gaping wound.
With a fluid motion, he snatched the spear in the giant’s hand out of the air, tossing it to the skies. He spun, unleashing a kick at its butt and sending it soaring right toward the second.
BANG!
The spear burst in the air, a rain of ash falling down. The sight of the giant was obscured, and it only cleared in time to see a 6’3" freight train barreling through it.
The second giant didn’t even get the chance to counter before Sylas had latched onto its body, almost forgetting that his figure was formed of both flesh and bone as he completed three grappling passes in the blink of an eye. His arms latched onto the giant’s neck, squeezing down and then twisting.
The target’s vision went blank before he even felt his neck twist from his shoulders. Read latest chapters at freewebnovel
Sylas shot from one platform to the next. He didn’t even bother to try to do it out of order, feeling the problems that it would cause.
Each one of these giants was locked in place by the same Rune mechanisms that were linking them. If he tried to bypass them without fighting, they would just join the battle one after another. By the time he got to the final BOSS, even if he could defeat him in a few moves, he’d have three dozen of these Quasi-King existences jetting after him.
The worst part was that he could feel his crown was being suppressed here, almost as though the system wasn’t going to allow him to take advantage of such a loophole.
But Sylas didn’t feel like he needed it.
A blade cut into Sylas’ side.
His elbow slammed down onto its body, pinning it to his hip. He pulled back with the leg on that side, throwing the giant off with that pivot and exploding forward with his opposite palm at the same time.
The heel of his hand flattened the man’s face, driving his nose into his skull and smashing his head flat.
Blood dripped from the spear as the giant slowly fell backward.
Sylas huffed out a breath.
They were getting faster, stronger.
He looked to his side and ignored the injury, moving on to the next. If he could make it through without summoning his Scorpion Warlord Armor, he would do so.
He would need his mind to make it all the way through here, and the pressure all of his abilities placed on his Will and Mental stats was already too great to take it for granted.
’Fourteen left.’
Sylas trudged through opponent after opponent. His speed in defeating them plummeted, and he was forced to pull back, learning their attack patterns.
At this rate, they’d have stats over 5000, and the BOSS would be even more exaggerated. freewebnσvel.cѳm
Sylas’ Aether thrummed with life. Sparkling shards of Glass fell from the skies, and he vanished.
The spear of the giant missed, passing through an arc of lightning that hadn’t been there just moments before. It couldn’t react to the mirror that appeared to its back.
SHIIIING!
CRACKLE.
Sylas’ Blackened Claw tore through the giant’s back.
Exhaling a breath, Sylas faced off against the next opponent and suddenly realized something as he looked down at his claw.
’… That’s possible too?’
Sylas took deep breaths. Usually, he would be in a rush to start the next fight, which would allow him to get a blow or two in before they completely assimilated with their new strength. But he had just noticed something shocking.
’I can stop them from growing stronger…’
With all of this Will linking them together, they were obviously reliant on it. So what happened if he used Blade Aura to take the Will for himself instead?
Of course, that would drain his Mental. But wouldn’t it be worth it?
An eerie green glow solidified in Sylas’ eyes as he shot forward.
