Sylas felt a pulsing in his eyes, a thrumming of unconscionable power.

His Charisma inexplicably pooled forward. He could almost feel as though his gaze carried with it a mysterious strength now, the sort that hadn’t been there before.

There were certain things about this world that Sylas had slowly begun to understand, but they all revolved around a relatively simple concept…

The system wasn’t infallible.

At most, the system was a created thing formed by what must have been an extremely strong individual. But so long as said individual was fallible, so too would the system be.

[Legendary City Stele Quest Ticket]

Sylas’ Luck was dormant, but every organ in his body seemed to twist and churn at the same time.

He couldn’t even stand in front of a Silver City without feeling alarm bells to run. How was he going to trigger a Legendary City Stele Quest with any sort of confidence?

He had questioned the Madness Key a great deal about this, and from his understanding, City Stele Quests were unique in that they were gradeless. They scaled to the power of the challenger.

This was to say that if it was a Bronze City Stele Quest, it would be as difficult to clear as what the universe assumed Bronze Grade difficulty should be.

On a Summoned World, the difficulty was lowered. But after the Summoning… well, it could be said that the Grimblades would have stood no chance at all.

It also had to be remembered that the City of Glass wasn’t a normal City Stele Quest either. It was a City already designed to be conquered by the people of Earth, so not only was its difficulty lowered by the Summoning, it was further lowered because of its completed state.

And yet Sylas didn’t even dare to challenge it before.

He knew the moment he held this ticket that it was probably one of the, if not the most, valuable things in not just this galaxy… but the entire universe.

He also knew that this would probably be his one and only chance to ever challenge it as such a low difficulty. Once he lit Earth’s Progenitor Flame and became Earth’s Progenitor, they would cross the Summoning and no longer have such handicaps.

But… he also knew that doing this would be worse than suicide. There was simply no chance at all.

Until he reached the standard the universe deemed as Legendary, he could only bury and forget about this City Stele Ticket.

Sylas’ grip on it tightened, pressing down so hard his fingers turned white. The density of Charisma in his eyes increased.

"One day."

He spoke with a calm conviction, not the slightest hint of trembling in his voice.

Then, he placed it into his Madness Key.

There was a rush of light around him as his Level up completed in earnest, his body adjusting to all the new changes.

’It’s time.’
