**TITLE: Doomsday Rebirth 377**

**Chapter 377: The Letter from Obsidian Fang**

Francis offered a quick reminder, but Tyler appeared indifferent, his focus elsewhere.

Caroline, however, was not one to let things slide. She confronted him directly, “Colonel Sutton, what exactly did you say to those soldiers about my ability to copy theirs?”

Francis averted his gaze, his eyes darting around the room as a hint of guilt flickered across his face. “Oh, that? It’s really nothing much. I simply told them that our Caroline is so cheerful, cute, and pretty that being touched by her is nothing to worry about. I encouraged them to cooperate, to not be shy, and to keep a positive attitude about it.”

Caroline stared at him, momentarily speechless, her mind racing.

*Your soldiers certainly took your words to heart. Not shy at all; in fact, they seem a bit too eager.*

She exchanged a few light-hearted quips with Francis, their playful banter easing the tension before she finally expressed her gratitude.

In truth, Caroline’s primary reason for visiting was to thank him. Despite the awkwardness that had unfolded earlier, she recognized that he had her best interests at heart.

After their brief exchange, she and Tyler joined Francis for a hearty feast of steelworms.

To her surprise, the meal was far more palatable than the mutant cockroaches they had endured before. They feasted until their bellies were full, laughter and satisfaction mingling in the air.

As they prepared to leave, Tyler abruptly halted, his expression shifting to one of concern.

On Francis’s desk lay a sealed envelope, its surface emblazoned with bold letters declaring, “From Obsidian Fang.”

Tyler frowned, his voice low and cautious. “You should be careful with the folks from Building B.”

Francis merely chuckled, snatching the envelope and tossing it toward Tyler with a flourish. “Haha! Those Building B guys? They’re the ones in a tight spot now. They came crawling for help. Serves them right! They were too cocky before, and now they’re facing the consequences.”

In that moment, Building B was indeed in disarray. They had just weathered a storm of chaos that nearly tore their base asunder.

After Lisa’s departure, Crow was left in a state of heartbreak.

He found himself trapped in a cycle of despair, questioning whether his gang was doomed to repeat their past mistakes endlessly.

Not long ago, they had suffered a devastating betrayal from within. The rebels had been eradicated in a brutal confrontation. Although Crow emerged victorious, he had lost several of his most skilled members in the process.

Now, their most pressing issue was Dyson.

As one of the founding members, Dyson had sustained severe injuries while defending Crow.

Despite receiving emergency treatment from their top healer, Dyson remained unresponsive, trapped in a state of unconsciousness.

With no other options left, Crow had written a desperate letter to the army, pleading for assistance.

In exchange, they offered something valuable—supplies, weapons, or perhaps even a glimpse into the future.

No one else had ever laid eyes on it—no one but her.

On the drawing, a splash of blood marred the villa’s wall. From the second-floor window dangled a woman’s body, face down, her form twisted unnaturally at the waist, blood cascading down and staining the wall beneath her.

Though the image lacked intricate details, the message was unmistakable: the woman hanging there was her.

A wave of danger washed over Caroline, a cold, sharp awareness coursing through her veins. *How does Crow know about the villa?*

*What else does he know?*

This old man is far more dangerous than I ever imagined.

What Caroline failed to realize was that Crow’s awakened power was precisely what his name suggested—foresight.

He had possessed the same ability in his previous life, which had allowed him to conceal his true identity as a reborn individual.

But even with the gift of foresight, his gang had not managed to evade their downfall.

The memory of that failure was seared into his very soul, and he was unwilling to accept it.

Now, reborn with the knowledge of his past, Crow had begun plotting his next move long before the apocalypse had even arrived.

He was resolute that, armed with his memories and his power, he could reconstruct Obsidian Fang and forge it into something stronger than it had ever been.
