Girl's Doomsday Rebirth Revenge & Survive novel Chapter 492

**TITLE: Doomsday Rebirth 492**
**Chapter 492: A Fragile Peace**

Dyson’s gaze was fixed on Caroline, his expression earnest and sincere, as if he were laying bare his very soul before her. The air between them felt charged with unspoken tension, a delicate balance teetering on the edge of revelation.

Caroline, however, was not one to shy away from a challenge. “Alright then,” she responded, a hint of curiosity lacing her voice, “I’ll take a look around the base.” She was determined to uncover the true nature of Dyson’s intentions. What game was he playing? What secrets lay hidden within these walls?

With that thought lingering in her mind, Dyson initiated the tour, guiding her through the labyrinthine corridors of the facility.

As they ascended the stairs, the atmosphere shifted subtly. Just two floors up, Caroline cast a furtive glance at her watch. Time was slipping away; Tyler should have already made his way into Crow’s room by now. This was all part of their intricate plan. If there was any treachery brewing in Building B, Crow would undoubtedly be the first to face the music.

Regardless of whether Dyson was involved, it was imperative to ascertain Crow’s role in this unfolding drama.

Yet, a pang of sympathy tugged at her heart for Crow. He was, after all, a pitiful figure in this high-stakes game. Recently, Caroline had been exploiting his unique ability for her own experiments. According to her Zero System, Crow himself was unaware of how to harness his power effectively. She was on a quest to uncover the true mechanics behind it, to master the art of foresight that he unwittingly possessed.

Each day, she drained his ability to its last drop. When her charges ran dry, she would seek him out again, eager to replenish her reserves.

Sometimes, late into the night, she would hit her limit, feeling tantalizingly close to a breakthrough, and rush to Crow for another infusion of his power. The relentless pursuit of knowledge was wearing him down, pushing him to the brink of a breakdown.

Initially, Caroline had used Crow’s ability for her own benefit, to glimpse her own future. But soon, the novelty of solitary predictions wore off, and she began to extend the invitation to others. “Anyone else curious about their future?” she would ask, a playful glint in her eye.

The reactions she received were nothing short of fascinating.

Tyler, for one, had never allowed her to use it on him. He would simply shake his head, a serious look crossing his face. “The only thing that matters is surviving whatever comes next,” he insisted. “If danger approaches, we’ll handle it then. We can use your ability if we absolutely must.”

As for personal inquiries, he would regard her with a long, contemplative stare before finally stating that he had no questions at all—though a faint blush crept across his cheeks for reasons unknown.

Nelson, on the other hand, had a penchant for the absurd. His questions were as random as they were amusing. “How many attempts will it take to perfect my anti-mosquito serum?” he would ponder aloud. “Can Handsy shrink itself? Which chef in the world still makes the best cupcakes? And will rats behave more femininely after being neutered with tartrate?”

“What does my future girlfriend look like?”
“Will my brother still hit me when I grow up?”
“Will being the Rat King affect my dating life?”
“Can my ability mutate or evolve so it’s less embarrassing to use?”
“Will Silver ever turn into a human?”

Caroline stared at the list in silence, her mind racing.

She attempted to predict a few of them. For instance, when she focused on whether Tyler would still hit Denton, the answer was a resounding yes. A vivid mental image flashed before her: Tyler, cane in hand, smacking Denton with surprising force. The details of what had transpired between them remained elusive, but judging by the intensity of the swing, both men retained their vigor well into old age—one strong enough to deliver a hit, the other resilient enough to endure it.

Though she couldn’t make out their faces clearly, the vision depicted two elderly men with white hair, a sight that struck her as oddly humorous.

She also found herself intrigued by Denton’s inquiry about Silver becoming human. As she concentrated, a delightful image emerged: Silver and Jet, side by side, cuddled together in a moment of pure happiness.

However, when she turned her attention to Denton’s future girlfriend, just as the image began to take shape, Snow burst into the room. The vision dissipated in an instant, leaving Caroline frustrated. And of course, that had been her last charge for the day.
