Gone Quiet, Gone Love novel Chapter 23

Years later, Sabrina's wedding was held on a private island in the Centrum Waters, surrounded by sunshine, the beach, blue waters, and white architecture.

It was a scene straight out of a postcard.

Only close family and dearest friends were invited to the small and intimate wedding.

Sabrina wore a pure-white wedding gown, its design clean and elegant. There wasn't a long train, yet it perfectly outlined her slender waist and graceful shoulders.

Her veil was a soft champagne tone that glowed with a gentle sheen under the sun.

She stood under an arch of flowers and held a bouquet of white lilies, smiling brightly. Her eyes held genuine, unshadowed happiness and peace.

The groom stood beside her in a white suit. His deep-set eyes were gently fixed on her, overflowing with love and affection.

The officiant recited the vows in a gentle voice, "Ms. Sabrina Frye, do you take Mr. Leo Ellington to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love him in prosperity and adversity, in sickness and in health, to respect and cherish him, and remain faithful to him till death do you part?"

Sabrina turned to look at Leo beside her as a gentle smile bloomed on her lips. "I do."

Her voice was clear and firm, filled with certainty and hope for their future.

"Mr. Leo Ellington, do you take Ms. Sabrina Frye to be your lawfully wedded wife—"

"I do," Leo eagerly answered. He took her hand, lowered his head, and pressed a gentle kiss to the back of it.

"I will spend the rest of my life loving you, protecting you, and keeping you as happy as you are today."

Good-natured laughter and applause rippled through the crowd.

After they exchanged rings and the groom kissed the bride, the applause grew louder.

The evening reception was held on a seaside lawn, shrouded in stars. They were surrounded by candlelight, fine food and wine, and blessings from family and friends. Everything was perfect.

When it came time to toss the bouquet, Sabrina smiled at the eager single friends below the stage. Then, she turned and walked straight to her maid of honor and longtime best friend, Claudia, and handed her the bouquet.

"Here. It's for you," she said with a wink and a mischievous smile. "Don't rest. The best is always saved for the grand finale."

Claudia's eyes were red-rimmed as she took the bouquet and laughed. "Always the charmer, aren't you?"

They hugged without regret, with only a complete sense of fulfillment.

Brilliant, dazzling fireworks erupted in the night sky. It lit up the beach and the newlyweds who were locked in an embrace and a kiss. The air was thick with laughter and the warmth of countless blessings.

Sabrina's new life and happiness now shone as brightly as the stars above, finally within her reach.

The same day, on the other end of the globe, it was deep into the night.
