Goodbye Saintess (by Edelweiss W.S.) novel Chapter 177

**The Unseen Kingdom That Followed Me Into Every Dream by Alyndra Meron Valeen 177**

In a heartbeat, Edmund crumpled to the floor, a low groan escaping his lips as he doubled over, clutching his stomach as if trying to contain the turmoil within. The world around him blurred into a haze of chaos.

Without a hint of hesitation, Bull and his gang burst into the room like a storm, their eyes immediately locking onto Hera with a predatory gleam. The atmosphere thickened with tension.

“Holy shit! And this guy had the nerve to tell us to check the other rooms. As if any of them could compare to a girl like this!” one thug exclaimed, his voice dripping with disbelief.

“Sugar mama, you’re even more stunning up close!” another added, his eyes roving over her with a mix of admiration and greed.

“Yo, that pansy doesn’t deserve a goddess like her, man. She should be with someone like you, Bull!” chimed in yet another, his tone laced with mockery.

Bull’s lackeys exchanged glances, their tongues flicking out like snakes, savoring the sight before them.

With a sinister grin, Bull pressed his foot down onto Edmund’s head, a gesture both humiliating and assertive. “No shit. A wuss like you doesn’t deserve a beauty like that!” he taunted, relishing the power he wielded.

“Who are you people?! This is our room!” Mila shouted, her voice tinged with panic and indignation. “This is a society governed by law! I’m calling the cops!” Her heart raced, and she felt the weight of the situation crashing down on her.

“Don’t worry, sugar. You’re pretty cute too,” Bull replied, his voice dripping with condescension.

“Wait your turn, okay? Don’t fret. We’ve got enough energy for two women!” one of the thugs sneered, a smirk plastered across his face.

Emboldened by the moment, Edmund bellowed, “Listen up, you bums! You’re not ready for this!” He gestured dramatically toward Hera, his voice rising in intensity. “She’s the CEO of Edge Inc.! Trust me, you don’t have the resources or assets to take her on. In fact, people like us are always protected by bodyguards in civvies whenever we’re out. So maybe you should listen to that little voice of self-preservation and scram before our bodyguards show up!”

The thugs froze, their bravado evaporating in the face of Edmund’s towering presence. His words carried the weight of authority, and for a moment, the air was thick with uncertainty.

Hera stared at him, disbelief etched across her features. What kind of threat was that? Just moments ago, he had been reduced to a crumpled heap, allowing a bully to humiliate him.

And now, after barely managing to rise, all he could muster was a display of her identity? What sort of cowardice was this? Where was his bravery? How could she possibly feel safe with a man who had just moments ago been so easily trampled?

As the realization sank in, she couldn’t help but reflect on the past. It had become painfully clear how exceptional Sebastian had been. He had been light-years ahead of Edmund, a beacon of strength in her life.
