Their eyes met briefly in the air.

His gaze was like a viper's tongue sliding over her ankle—cold and slow, mixed with scrutiny and a hint of amusement.

A chill shot up Sienna's spine. This was the man who had mercilessly killed someone in the casino without hesitation, and had nearly choked her to death.

Why was he here?

Before she could process it, a shrill female voice abruptly tore through the audience.

"She plagiarized!"

Like a lunatic, Lyla Lennox broke through the security line and stumbled onto the stage.

Her white gown was disheveled from the run, and her meticulously pinned hair had come undone in places. She clutched a stack of papers tightly in her hand, her eyes bloodshot as massive tears streamed down her face.

Her crying was incredibly pitiful.

The security guards rushed to intercept her, but she desperately broke free, staggering up the steps. Facing the dense crowd and cameras, her voice trembled shrilly.

"The concept for this painting is mine! Sienna Sawyer peeked at my sketches!"

She screamed through her tears, raising the stack of papers above her head, her hands shaking violently.

"These are my original sketches from three years ago. Look! The concept is exactly the same as The Chrysalis Broken! She's a thief! A fraud!"

The crowd erupted in shock.

The camera flashes went berserk, the shutter sounds as dense as a torrential downpour.

Several judges stood up from the front row, exchanging serious glances.

Caught completely off guard, the host hovered his hand holding the microphone mid-air, unsure whether to speak or intervene.

Hunter's expression darkened. She was about to stand up, but a judge next to her stopped her.

"Ms. Hale, let the committee handle this first."

Dean Julian Vance quickly walked onto the stage. As the head of the art academy, his words carried immense weight in the industry.

He took the stack of sketches from Lyla, flipped through a few pages, and his frown deepened.

Just then, another person stood up in the audience, pointing sharply at Sienna.

"I knew it! How could a useless piece of trash like her paint something of this caliber!"

The speaker was Seraphina Sterling. Hearing rumors that "K" might attend the exhibition, she had come specifically to see her idol.

She hadn't expected to miss "K" entirely and instead see Sienna—a woman who made her sick to her stomach.

When she saw Sienna win the award, she was already shocked and violently jealous. Now, seizing the opportunity, she launched a vicious attack with a look of utter disdain.

"Not only did this painting rip off Lyla Lennox, but it's also mimicking the genius painter K!"

"This is blasphemy against my idol! Someone like you doesn't even deserve to hold a brush!"

In an instant, the audience joined the frenzy, throwing relentless insults.

"Plagiarist!"

"Get out of the art world!"
