The afternoon sun seemed indefatigable, stubbornly radiating heat and light as if trying to exhaust its final frenzy before dusk.

Laurent, Julian, and the others had already taken their leave, promising that their assistants would officially deliver the letters of intent the next day.

A momentary silence settled over the room, broken only by the silent flickering of the city's distant neon lights.

"Sienna, are you absolutely sure you want to wait two weeks?" Hunter was still unsettled. She walked over to Sienna, her tone betraying her anxiety.

"An opportunity like this... if you miss it, there might never be a second chance."

Sienna looked at her. Hunter's usually sharp and shrewd eyes were currently brimming with desperate concern for her.

Her heart warmed, and she gave a gentle shake of her head.

"Don't worry, Hunter. I cherish this opportunity more than anyone."

She paused, her gaze shifting to Lucas, who had remained silent but offered his unspoken support. "It's exactly because I cherish it that I need to sever every single lingering tie before I go."

Hunter wanted to argue, but seeing the quiet yet absolute resolve in Sienna's eyes, she swallowed her words.

She knew Sienna. Once she made a decision, nobody could sway her.

"Fine," Hunter sighed. "Whatever you're planning, just remember, I've always got your back."

She shot a look at Lucas. "Mr. Lowery, I have some business to attend to, so I'll be heading out first. Please look after Sienna for me."

Lucas offered a slight nod, his voice gentle. "I will."

After issuing a few more reminders, Hunter left, her mind heavy with worry.

Only Sienna and Lucas remained on the terrace.

The evening breeze played with the loose strands of hair framing her face. Bathed in the cold moonlight, her pale complexion made her look exceptionally fragile.

Lucas took off his suit jacket and draped it thoughtfully over her shoulders. The fabric, retaining his body heat, warded off the night's chill.
