Like a vicious animal...
Those words crashed into Sienna's ears, hurting far worse than all the previous humiliations combined.
Eleanor's face turned icy with fury as she slammed her cane hard against the floor.
"Enough!"
"Grant Gauthier, I am not dead yet!"
Grant was riled up too, forcing himself to remain steady.
"Eleanor, you can't be this blatantly biased."
"She's bullying Lyla. As her husband, I can't even say a word?"
"Oh, so you do remember that you are Sienna's husband?" Eleanor scoffed coldly. "Publicly berating your own wife to defend another woman—do you even call yourself a man?"
"If you still respect me as your grandmother, you will throw this shameless woman out!"
Seeing this, Lyla immediately put on a pitiful expression, shaking her head at him pleadingly.
Instead of kicking her out, Grant pulled Lyla behind him protectively.
"Wrong is wrong," Grant declared, completely ignoring Eleanor's command. His piercing gaze shot straight at Sienna, his indifferent expression laced with absolute threat.
"Seraphina publicly apologized to you earlier. Now it's your turn."
Sienna couldn't believe he was risking severing ties with Eleanor just to defend Lyla.
To go to such lengths for her... their love truly was unbreakable.
"Why on earth should I apologize to her?"
He suppressed his fury. "Saying things like that at an event like this—are you trying to make the Gauthier family look like a complete joke?"
"Who is the one making the Gauthier family look like a joke?!"
Eleanor roared with unbridled wrath, looking as though she wanted to march over and slap the sense out of Grant.
But due to her severe emotional spike, her body suddenly swayed, and she nearly collapsed.
"Eleanor!"
Sienna immediately rushed over to support her, her voice laced with panic. "Eleanor, are you okay?"
Grant also panicked slightly. "Sienna, are you happy now that you've caused this mess?!"
Or more accurately, the true heir to the Lennox family.
She and Lyla had been switched at birth by a nanny, and the truth of their identities had only been revealed three years ago.
To save face, the Lennox parents had publicly declared Rosalind as their adopted daughter.
They had continued to spoil Lyla, giving her the best of everything while completely looking down on their biological daughter who had grown up in the countryside.
But it took Rosalind less than a year to win them over and firmly establish her position in the Lennox family.
Today, nearly half of the Lennox family's supply chains were tightly gripped in her hands. At twenty-five, she was ruthless enough to silence a boardroom full of seasoned fifty-year-old directors.
After stepping inside, her gaze swept across the room, quickly piecing together what had happened.
"Eleanor, I am Rosalind Lennox. Please allow me to apologize on my sister's behalf."
With that, she lowered her head in a deep, formal nod of apology.
"Lyla is young and lacks boundaries. If she has offended you and Ms. Sawyer, I beg your forgiveness."
Eleanor gave her a measured look.
