Grant scoffed inwardly. He wouldn't give her the satisfaction.

Besides, Lucas was only playing with her because she was a novelty. Once he got bored, he would toss Sienna out like trash.

When that happened, she would come crawling back, begging for forgiveness.

He would just stand by and watch coldly, making sure she learned the true cost of betraying him.

An absurd but resolute idea took shape in his furious mind. He abruptly raised his hand and dialed the public line for the Lowery Group.

He had made a decision. He would buy Lucas off!

As long as he dumped Sienna, Grant would agree to any terms.

The moment the call connected, Grant skipped all professional pleasantries, his tone hard and commanding.

"This is Grant Gauthier from the Gauthier Group. I want you to kick Sienna to the curb immediately and cut off all your support for her."

"If you agree, I'll—"

Before he could finish, a lazy, deep voice cut through the line.

"You're a psycho."

And just like that, the call was brutally terminated, leaving behind only the cold, rhythmic dial tone.

Grant froze with the phone still pressed to his ear. A rare look of sheer disbelief washed over his handsome face, as if he couldn't process what he had just heard.

The dial tone hammered against his eardrum, an invisible fist ruthlessly shredding his immense pride into confetti.

Grant sat perfectly still, radiating a dark, suffocating energy.

Madeline and Lyla wisely kept their mouths shut, barely daring to breathe.

Gathering her courage, Lyla pressed on. "I've actually always loved painting, and I heard about the 'Emerging Voices' competition recently."

"Maybe I could enter the competition and try to make contact with Ms. Hale and K for you."

She tilted her face up, the overhead lights reflecting in her innocent eyes, making her look incredibly pure and eager.

"I just want to try and help you however I can."

Madeline jumped in to support her. "She's right, Grant! Lyla is so talented and thoughtful. Letting her give it a shot is better than us sitting around doing nothing."

Grant remained silent for a moment before giving a slow nod. His clenched jaw finally showed a hint of relaxing.

"Alright. Whatever you need for the competition, just say the word."

A brilliant smile broke across Lyla's face. "Thank you, Grant! I won't let you down!"
