"Divorced? Do you honestly expect me to believe that?" His thumb rhythmically stroked the beads of his agarwood bracelet.

Samuel cowered on the floor, trembling violently.

Hearing her denial, he violently jerked upright, screaming at the top of his lungs.

"Mr. Blackwood! She's lying! The divorce papers haven't even been finalized! Grant can't live without her. Just a few days ago, he took her back to the main estate for a family banquet! She is his absolute weak spot!"

Fiona nodded frantically, covering her face as she wailed, "Yes, yes, yes! She's Mrs. Gauthier. If you hold onto her, Grant will definitely hand over pure gold and cash to trade for her!"

Simon wasn't about to be left out, adding eagerly, "And she's pregnant with his kid! The Gauthier family would never abandon her."

Sienna stared coldly down at the three people groveling on the floor, nothing but an endless, freezing void in her eyes.

She had traveled all this way, risking everything to save them, yet they were tripping over themselves to shove her right into the abyss, desperately trying to bleed out every last drop of her value.

She stopped paying attention to the three of them; even a passing glance felt like a stain.

Cillian, however, was thoroughly entertained, his fingers clicking the wooden beads together with a soft rhythm.

"Grant's wife, carrying the Gauthier family heir." He tested the words on his tongue, dragging out the syllables. "Sounds like quite a lucrative hostage."

Looking like a dog begging for a bone, Samuel groveled closer.

"She is! She absolutely is!"

"Mr. Blackwood, the Gauthiers are loaded, and that kid Grant cares about his reputation more than anything. If you hold her captive, he won't just cough up thirty million—he'll give you hundreds of millions!"

Cillian let out a low chuckle. "Fascinating."

He was getting a front-row seat to an incredible show today. Sienna was supposedly their daughter, willing to gamble her own life to save them.

Yet, for the sake of their own survival, they were eagerly sentencing her to death. Such cold-blooded ruthlessness mirrored the exact behavior of his own family.

Cillian raised a hand, and the guards flanking him immediately stepped forward, clamping their massive hands onto the shoulders of the three Sawyers and dragging them off to the side.

Terrified, Samuel began thrashing wildly. "Mr. Blackwood! Mr. Blackwood, please don't misunderstand! We aren't with her!"

"If you want leverage against Grant, just keep her! Keeping her is enough!"

She delivered the ultimatum with feather-light casualness, yet the sheer audacity of it sent shivers down the spines of everyone listening.

Cillian's eyes darkened until they looked like pools of black ink. He had never met a woman who dared to slap a price tag on her own life and lay it directly onto his betting table.

"Are you threatening me?"

Sienna nodded, absolutely unyielding. "Yes."

Cillian's eyes narrowed dangerously, the trace of a smile instantly vanishing from his lips. He took a predatory step forward, obliterating the space between them until they were less than half an arm's length apart.

Standing more than a head taller than Sienna, the oppressive dominance he exuded while staring down at her was suffocatingly real.

Not a single soul in the casino dared to make a sound.

"Of all the people who have dared to threaten me," his voice dropped to a lethal whisper, "you are the very first."

The instant the words left his mouth, his hand shot out and locked relentlessly around her throat.
