Mia stepped out, shot Celeste a venomous glare, then walked right up to them and linked arms with Desmond on one side and Stella on the other.

‘Desmond, Stella, you’re finally here!” Mia said, deliberately ignoring Celeste as she led them inside.

Desmond glanced at Celeste and explained, “Celeste, we’re about to get married. Mia will be your little sister soon, so don’t hold things against her. Stella wasn’t comfortable staying at the estate by herself, so I asked her to come back.”

‘As long as you’re happy,” Celeste said flatly. None of this had anything to do with her anymore.

The second her documents arrived, she was gone.

Celeste entered the estate first and was immediately summoned to the study by Grandpa Hart.

Mia flew into a rage, grabbing a nearby vase and smashing it on the floor, Shards of porcelain went flying, one of them slicing open celeste’s leg.

Celeste had planned on ignoring her, but Mia took her silence as a sign of weakness and became even more aggressive.

Celeste hesitated for a second before raising her hand and slapping Mia across the face. “Grandpa said that from now on, I am the matriarch of the Hart family. If you disrespect me, I have every right to discipline you.”

“Bitch, are you insane?! How dare you hit me in my own house!” Mia tried to strike back, but Celeste grabbed her wrist and shoved her away.

“Mia Hart, watch your mouth, or I will hit you again!”

“Mia, just let it go. She’s your sister–in–law, after all. Just try to put up with it. If you’re that angry, you can hit me instead. I’ll let you take it out on me.” Stella said, holding Mia back, though her words only fanned the flames.

“Stella, get out of my way! I’m going to kill this bitch!” Mia shrieked, lunging at Celeste.

Just then, Grandpa Hart appeared and shouted at Mia to stop.

she had disrespected an elder, and Grandpa threatened to punish her according to the family rules. Terrified, she dropped to her knees and begged for mercy.

Stella also quickly knelt down to plead for her, even offering to take the punishment in Mia’s place.

Grandpa granted her wish, making her kneel in the sun alongside Mia, both of them forced to hold heavy rulers in their outstretched hands.
