He Gave Her Strawberries, Gave Me Hives (Ford and Sylvia) novel Chapter 87

Celeste, I’m sorry. Please, just give me one more chance. I know I was wrong!

Desmond grabbed his hair in agony. It was only now that he realized his love for Celeste ran bonedeep.

And his feelings for Stella? They were nothing more than an obsession.

He could never get over the fact that she had abandoned him time and again. He wanted to make her regret her choices, to keep her by his side forever like a to he could play with.

He hadn’t been lying to Celeste. The only person he had ever wanted to marry was her.

So why didn’t she believe him?

How could she have been so cruel as to just leave him?

His vision blurred as blood and tears mixed together, but Celeste’s face remained crystal clear, as if it had been branded into his mind.

He sat there, stunned, in the middle of the living room, letting guilt and regret consume him.

Celeste, I know you hate me. It was my fault. I never should have been kind to another woman.

Please come back. Please, just give me one more chance. I can’t live without you.

Desmond repeated his apologies over and over, from noon until late into the night, until his voice was raw and hoarse.

He was met with a dead, suffocating silence.

He ordered his assistant to find out where Celeste had gone, but was told that Grandpa had forbidden any investigation.

He tried to go out and look for her himself, but was stopped by the security guards at the door. He tried to rush past them several times, but was mercilessly Iragged back into the living room each time.

Enraged, Desmond completely destroyed the living room, even grabbing one of the bodyguards and beating him to the ground, trying to threaten Grandfather nto letting him go find Celeste.

Celeste doesn’t ask for much. Her only request is that you never bother her again for the rest of your life.

Every time Desmond’s rampage got out of control, Grandpa would repeat those same words.

Desmond was on the verge of losing his mind.

He started drinking to drown his sorrows, opening all his finest liquors, taking a single sip before smashing the bottle against the wall.

For three whole days.

Just when he felt like he was about to completely break, a familiar, petite figure appeared at the door of the mansion

Desmond’s eyes shot open. He scrambled up from the floor and stumbled toward the door.

Desmond, what happened to you? Stella woke up and couldn’t find you, and she’s been crying her eyes out. I tried calling you, but you didn’t answer. Come on, let’s go to the hospital and see her.Mia said, startled by Desmond’s appearance the second she walked in.

When Desmond saw who it was, the light in his eyes instantly died. He swayed back to the sofa, grabbed another bottle of liquor, and started chugging.

Hey, stop drinking! What the hell is wrong with you?Mia snatched the bottle from his hand and threw it to the ground.

Chapter 11

Desmond said nothing, just grabbed another bottle, twisted it open, and took a large swig.

The burning liquor did nothing to extinguish the pain in his chest, it only made him choke until tears streamed down his face.

Don’t tell me you’re this broken up because Celeste left.Mia said, looking at him in disbelief.

His eyebrow twitched. He spoke, his voice hoarse, She’s my wife. Shouldn’t I be upset that she’s gone?

Are you kidding me? Anyone with eyes can see you don’t love her. You’re drinking yourself into a stupor over her? I’d sooner believe that pigs can fly,Mia coffed. Now, if you were doing this over Stella, that might actually be believable.

Desmond froze. Was his preference that obvious? Celeste must have been absolutely heartbroken.

Come on, let’s just go to the hospital and see Stella. If you don’t go soon, she’s going to cry herself to death.Mia said, pulling and dragging Desmond off the

¡ofa.

This time, Desmond didn’t resist.

He had to get out of this place first if he was going to find an opportunity to look for Celeste..
