Heaven or Hell: Loving My Twisted Billionaire novel Chapter 120

Chapter 120

Finn’s POV

I felt Hannah’s arms wrap tightly around my neck, her body warm against mine as she settled onto my lap in my execut chair. Sunlight streamed through the floor-to-ceiling windows of my Sterling Group office, casting her in a golden glow that made her look almost ethereal.

“What’s gotten into you today?” I asked, deliberately not answering her question about Alicia, curious to see if she’d show any signs of jealousy.

“I just missed you,” she murmured against my skin. “Is that so wrong?”

No accusations. No interrogation. Just Hannah being Hannah-wrapping her arms around me more tightly, placing a gentle kiss on my neck. Her warmth pressed against me without expectation or demand.

Something loosened in my chest. I’d been deceived more times than I could count throughout my life. Trust wasn’t

something that came naturally to me. Yet with Hannah, I found myself lowering my guard, inch by inch. She never pushed

when I grew cold, never ran when I lashed out, never demanded more than I could give.

Was it possible that after all these years of darkness, the universe had finally decided to show me mercy? That after everything I’d endured, this gentle, radiant woman was my reward?

It seemed too good to be true-and in my experience, things that seemed too good to be true inevitably were. But as her fingers traced patterns on my shoulder, her touch full of nothing but affection, I allowed myself to believe, just for a moment, that perhaps God had finally become kind.

My hands slid lower, gripping her hips as she perched on my lap. I breathed in her scent-something floral and light that had become maddeningly familiar over these past weeks.

The vibration of her phone interrupted us. She pulled away just enough to check the screen.

“It’s Eliza,” she explained, glancing at the message. There’s an issue with one of the scenes we’re shooting today. I should probably head back.”

I felt my expression darken instantly. “Again? You just got here.” I didn’t try to hide the displeasure in my voice.

“I know, I’m sorry.” She stroked my cheek gently. “I really shouldn’t have snuck away from set in the first place, but I just wanted to see you. She slid off my lap, smoothing down her skirt. How about I make you that coffee you love before I go? The special one with the vanilla and cinnamon?”

I felt the tension in my shoulders case slightly. Fine,” I said, softening my tone.

Chapter 120

May 25 MM

I’ll make it quick, she promised with a smile, heading toward the small kitchenette attached to my office.

After Hannah left, I leaned back in my leather chair, the office suddenly feeling emptier without her presence. I t fingers against the mahogany desk, my mind turning over the past few weeks.

I pulled out my phone and sent a voice message: [What time will you be home tonight? Exactly.]

Hannah’s reply came almost immediately, detailed and accommodating: [I should be done by 6:30. I also have my pre checkup after that, so I’ll probably be home around 8. I’ll bring your favorite pasta from that Italian place you like. Th one with the truffle oil. Is there anything else you need?]

My lips curved into a small smile despite myself. Little Miss Sunshine Hannah, always so eager to please lately. It was suspicious as hell, but I couldn’t deny I enjoyed it. The way she fussed over me, remembered my preferences, touched m so tenderly-it was addictive.
