Zaire shot Jason a cold glare and said. “Don’t forget. I’m the mole here. I had a hidden camera on me. I caught everything on camera.”
That was their last mission together.
While he was undercover, Zaire never bothered with a hidden camera so he wouldn’t blow his cover.
But at the end of the job, he’d put it on to make sure everything as on record.
He’d told Jason to switch up the escape route, then went after the enemy right after.
But later, he found out Ryan and the others stuck to the original plan, and when everything blew up, he had no choice but to double back.
When he got there, he saw that Ryan was already out cold from his injuries, and Jason was about to bail on him.
Meanwhile, the enemy had his gun pointed right at Ryan’s head ready to finish hìm off.
With no time to think, Zaire rushed in and took the bullet for Ryan.
Just then, Jason saw Felix and his men closing in. Thinking fast, he staged the scene, shot himself in the arm to look innocent, then hurled Zaire into the sea.
Zaire was incredibly lucky; he was found by some fishermen out on the water.
He was gravely wounded, barely clinging to life, but by sheer luck, there was a skilled doctor living in the village who managed to save him.
After he got hurt, Zaire stayed in that village to recover. With no way to get in touch with the team, he was totally cut off from the organization.
It wasn’t until recently, when he was finally back on his feet, that he left the village and reached out to Ryn
Ryan was about to head out on a mission to Frontierland, so he called Zaire back in right away.
Since then, Zaire had been caught up in one mission after another, and never had a chance to tell Ryan about what happened back then.
It wasn’t until a few days ago, after Ryan had recovered from his injuries and came to vish him in the hospital, the Zaire finally told Ryan everything.
