Grace pulled Aiden to the couch and sat him down. She carefully told him everything–her call with Erin, and how Erin and Tyson were now helping Elizabeth grow potatoes on Planet A001.

Aiden’s eyes widened as he listened. His face was full of surprise and amazement. “Erin and Tyson are so lucky…”

Exile was supposed to be the worst ending. But somehow, in the darkest moment, they found a new chance.

Not only could Erin help stabilize Tyson’s condition, but she was also part of growing such incredible crops. Anyone would envy that kind of luck.

But as Jared watched Aiden, he noticed something was off. Aiden looked quieter than usual. His heart tightened. “Aiden, why did you come home early today? Did your mental power act up again?”

Aiden’s smile slowly faded. A complicated look took its place.

He stayed silent for a moment before speaking in a low voice. “Dad, don’t worry. I’m fine. Do you know Tyler? I think his dad is one of your company’s shareholders.”

“Tyler?” Jared thought for a second. “Geoff’s son?”

Aiden nodded.

He took a deep breath, his tone heavy. “Something happened to Tyler. The doctors said a large part of his brain activity is gone. His mental power collapsed. The chances of him waking up are very low… He might become a vegetable.”

“What?”

Jared and Grace both cried out at the same time. Their faces were filled with shock.

“Mental collapse? A vegetable?” Grace’s voice shook. “How did something this serious happen? Was it a training accident? Or a pirate attack?”

Jared’s face turned serious too. “I’ve heard of him. My coworkers talk about him a lot. They say he’s talented. How could this happen…”

A mental collapse like that was far worse than a normal breakdown. It was almost impossible to recover from it.

Aiden shook his head, his brows tightly furrowed. His voice dropped even lower. “It wasn’t an accident. It wasn’t an attack. He was beaten by a classmate.”

“By a classmate?” Jared and Grace were even more shocked now. Anger rose on their faces. “How could a kid be so cruel? This is

too much!”

Aiden looked at their angry expressions and went quiet again, as if choosing his words. After a long pause, he looked up. There was a hint of anger in his voice. “Dad, Mom… It’s not what you think. The one who was truly cruel wasn’t the student who fought back. It was Tyler and his group. The student who hurt him was forced to defend himself.”

He took a deep breath and began to tell what happened three days ago.

Three days earlier, in the late afternoon, sunlight slanted through the hallway of the school building.
