“How … how is that possible?” Jared asked in disbelief.

Aiden recalled the sudden clarity he had felt in his mind after eating the potatoes. He abruptly grabbed Jared’s hand. “Dad, you should get your damage level checked too!”
Jared thought it was completely unnecessary, but he couldn’t resist his son’s insistence and agreed to the test.
The result was even more shocking. His own mental power damage level had also dropped by one percent.
“What… what’s going on?” Jared murmured as he stared at the report.
“Let’s talk at home,” Aiden said gravely.
Back home, the family of four gathered around the dining table.
Sitting in the center was the large sack of potatoes Evan had brought home.
“You’re saying… these potatoes can repair mental power damage?” Grace asked after hearing Jared and Aiden’s account. She found it hard to believe. “If they really had that effect, they’d have sold for a fortune long ago.”
Jared thought for a moment. “Could it be that this effect hasn’t been discovered yet? So they’re still being sold as ordinary potatoes?”
“That’s very possible,” Grace realized immediately. “Then shouldn’t we buy more and stock up? What if the price goes up later?”
Everyone nodded in agreement except Evan.
Evan lowered his head nervously, afraid his parents would find out that he’d bought the potatoes at the Reclaimed Market.
Jared and Grace set out for the mall at once, planning to buy more potatoes to store.
But when they saw the smooth, round potatoes on the shelves, they hesitated.
These potatoes didn’t look quite the same as the ones at home.
Grace asked the clerk hesitantly, “Do you have potatoes with rougher skins, dents, and uneven spots?”
The clerk replied politely and firmly, “No. The kind you described would be considered

inferior quality and would never be sold in our mall.”
With no choice, the couple bought half a kilo to take home for comparison.

As expected, although the mall potatoes looked better, their flavor was bland, far inferior to the rich, fragrant flavor of the ones at home.
In the end, Grace turned to Evan and asked about the true origin of the potatoes.
At first, Evan stubbornly insisted they were from the mall, but his guilty expression gave him
away.
Under repeated questioning from his parents and brother, he finally confessed. “I … I bought them at the Reclaimed Market. I know I was wrong. You can punish me.”
To his surprise, his parents didn’t scold him.
Jared’s first reaction was immediate. “Let’s go. Take us to that stall right now.”
Led by Evan, they returned to the Reclaimed Market and found the stall marked with the code “A001.”
Seeing the number, Jared’s brows knitted together. “A001? How could it be A001?”
“What’s wrong with A001?” Grace asked, confused.
Jared worked in the waste processing system and knew these codes well. “A001 means everything at this stall comes from Planet A001.
Now even Grace was shocked. “Could that be a mistake?”
Planet A001 was humanity’s cradle, and also the most thoroughly destroyed planet of all.
How could a place like that produce such fresh, intact potatoes?
Filled with doubt, the two of them stepped into the shop.
As they walked in, they nearly collided with a girl carrying a cloth sack.
Jared’s sharp eyes caught a glimpse of what was inside. The uneven outline was unmistakable. Potatoes.
His heart skipped. He exchanged a tense look with Grace and hurried inside.
Only when they saw a small pile of rough looking potatoes still stacked on the shelf did their anxiety finally ease.
