An interstellar device was essentially a fusion of a smartphone and a computer from the 21st

century.

But in this highly advanced interstellar era, it could do much more.

Upon initialization, a pale blue holographic screen flickered into existence, hovering right before Elizabeth’s eyes.

Name: Elizabeth Schofield

Gender: Female

Date of Birth: Stellar Calendar, September 12, 2005

Address: Sector Al, Planet A001

ID: 45567424243254

Her gaze lingered on the birthdate.

Seriously? What are the odds?

Today was September 12, Stellar Year 2025. The day that should have been the original Elizabeth’s 20th birthday had become her day of passing.

Elizabeth offered a silent moment of mourning for the girl she’d never met, then continued scrolling.

Finally, she scrolled to the balance section.

O stellar coins.”

Perfect.

The last bit of hope died on the spot.

She’d seriously overestimated that scumbag father.

Now it was her turn to mourn her own fate.

Letting out a long, weary sigh, Elizabeth’s gaze drifted toward the corpse nearby.

Her eyes lit up. She jogged over, squatted, and started searching the stillwarm body.

Looting corpses to amass a fortune was her signature ragstoricheshustle from her early days in the cultivation world, a traditional craft she’d never lose!

The first thing she noticed was the green wristband device on the man’s arm.

She tried activating it to check his balance and transfer funds to her name.

No luck. As expected.

To protect personal assets, the device was programmed to automatically deregister the moment it detected a loss of vital signs.

To claim a deceased person’s assets, one needed proof of kinship or an inheritance certificate -and a physical trip to an interstellar bank to process it in person.

Elizabeth wasn’t discouraged at all. She calmly removed his wristband.

Even a secondhand, entrylevel device could still fetch around 500 stellar coins.

Next, she pulled a bright red, teardropshaped pendant from around his neck.

She held it in her hand and sensed it.

Well, well! A storage button!

She swept her mental power inside. It was about 350 cubic feet inside.

It couldn’t compare to her old pocket dimension that could swallow a mountain, but space was still space.

Elizabeth’s eyes sparkled. She wasn’t picky.

Not bad. Aside from a pile of assorted scrap metal, there were also three liquid supplements inside.

Those metals were clearly scavenged from trash heaps and could be taken to a recycling station for some stellar coins.

Even that small pile would probably be worth at least a few dozen coins.

And those three liquid supplements?

Even the bottomshelf stuff went for 50 stellar coins each.

One tube could keep someone alive for a day. It was extremely costeffective for the poor.

In the interstellar era, edible resources were incredibly scarce and expensive. Liquid supplements had long become a basic survival necessity for most people.

The original Elizabeth hadn’t eaten anything for three days and was starving.

Elizabeth didn’t hesitate. She grabbed one and drank it.

Ugh! It’s fishy and gummy.

It tasted f*cking awful.

It was indeed something made for the interstellar poor. Aside from filling her up, it did nothing else.

As the liquid supplement settled in her stomach, her hunger faded right away.

Honestly, ever since she reached the Foundation Establishment stage, she had practiced Inedia and no longer needed to eat.

She hadn’t felt hunger in years.

She never imagined she’d get reset to zero and start over.

Thinking about it now, Elizabeth quietly pitied herself.

She’d planned to use that Divine Essence Root as her ticket to the top, carving her name among the wealthiest women in the cultivation world.

Instead of getting rich, she had ended up as a penniless nobody drifting in the interstellar world.

That corpse wasn’t much better off either. Aside from the device and the storage button, there was nothing worth taking from him.

Hmm? What are these pitchblack stones?

Elizabeth’s eyes paused on a few dark stones mixed in with the scrap metal. She soon realized they were energy stonesthe power cores for all kinds of interstellar machines and equipment.

From their appearance, they didn’t seem completely drained.

These were good things, and she certainly wouldn’t sell them off as junk.

She reached out to dig them out from the heap of metal.

The moment her fingers touched the stone, Elizabeth’s eyes flew open.

She could actually sense a ripple of spiritual energy coming from within!

She grabbed one right away and squeezed slightly.

Crack! The energy stone broke apart in her hand

A thin yet pure stream of spiritual energy seeped into her skin, traveled through her limbs, and finally settled in her energy center.

As she felt that spiritual power circulate through her body, a slow smile spread across Elizabeth’s face.

Then, she just planted her hands on her hips and erupted into a fit of wild laughter.

Hahaha! Heaven never seals every path!

An energy stone with spiritual energy was essentially a spiritual stone from the cultivation world.

With spiritual stones, who cared about this barren trash planet where nothing could grow? Even in a soilless, endless ocean, she could still grow a lush green oasis!

With that newfound confidence, Elizabeth’s worries were gone.

She brushed the grime off her clothes and stood up, heading for the planet’s sole trading hub -the garbage recycling stationto pocket some stellar coins first.

As the saying goes, money in hand, peace in mind.

With coins, she could buy seeds and energy stones to start farming.

Once the profits started rolling in, she’d buy even more seeds, more energy stones, and make

even more money.

She was so caught up in her dreams of endless farmland and massive income, completely unaware that the device on her wrist was flashing a bright red warning light.

Message after message quietly popped up on the holographic screen.
