Chapter 374 A Road Toward Light
Flynn froze completely.
They even took care of the family?
And helped them settle in?
This… this was far better than he had ever imagined.
This time, the First Military was truly going all in.

No hesitation remained. He nodded firmly, though his movement was slight; it carried all his strength. “Okay… I’ll go. Please… help bring my mom and Jimmy…”
Seeing Flynn finally agree, Elio felt a heavy weight lift from his chest. He immediately arranged for people to bring Flynn’s mother and child.
At the same time, he reported Flynn’s condition and decision up the chain of command.
Flynn’s mother was in her sixties, and her hair was already streaked with gray. She looked strong enough, but her eyes carried a constant shadow of worry.
His son, Jimmy Lincoln, was five years old. He was a sturdy little boy; however, he was quiet, and right now, he was clinging tightly to his grandmother’s hand.
When they were brought to the hospital and saw Flynn lying on the bed, wrapped in bandages like a mummy, weak and pale, his mother broke down instantly. She rushed to his bedside, wanting to touch him but not daring to, her voice trembling with both anger and grief. “You foolish child! You never listen! How did you end up like this? Are you trying to kill your mother with worry? How are we supposed to live if something happens to you?”
Jimmy’s eyes reddened as well. “Dad…” he called softly, reaching out his small hand to gently touch the one finger not wrapped in bandages.
Looking at them, Flynn’s chest tightened with guilt. All he could do was try to comfort them with his eyes.
[ Once his mother calmed down slightly, Elio stepped forward and carefully explained everything–the farm, the arrangements, the orders from the military.
At first, Petunia Lincoln was doubtful. But when Elio mentioned that it was a direct order from Commander Hewitt, that many soldiers like her son had already gone there and improved, and that the farm would take in their entire family and provide care, the doubt in her eyes slowly gave way to hope.
Nothing mattered more than her son living.
“Go! We’ll go!” she said firmly, gripping Flynn’s hand. “As long as there’s even a chance, I’ll go with you! Jimmy will go too! Our family won’t be separated again!”
Jimmy nodded vigorously, his small voice soft but determined. “Dad, we’ll go to our new home. I’ll be good. I’ll take care of you and Grandma.”
Seeing the unconditional trust and support in their eyes, the last and hardest piece of ice in Flynn’s heart finally melted.

He was no longer alone. He had family. He had his friends. And now, he had hope.
With all doubts gone, the decision was made.
Elio’s report received swift approval and full support from above.

Early the next morning, just as dawn began to break, a specially modified military transport vehicle–equipped with a small medical pod and comfortable seating–arrived quietly at the hospital.
Medical staff carefully transferred Flynn into the onboard treatment pod, connecting life–support and monitoring systems.
Petunia and Jimmy were seated safely beside him.
Elio stood outside the vehicle, doing one final check. Then, he looked at Flynn, whose eyes were already clearer than the day before, and spoke in a steady voice. “Rest easy, brother. We’re heading straight to the spaceport. There’s a dedicated ship waiting to take you to Planet A001. Someone will meet you there. Don’t think about anything else. Getting better is the best thing you can do for your mom, for Jimmy, and for all of us.”
