People carefully pinched a small cube of potato and put it into their mouths.

The next second, almost everyone’s face showed shock and disbelief.

The potato was soft and creamy, breaking apart without effort. It practically melted on the tongue. A pure, rich starchy sweetness instantly filled their mouths, carrying the scent of sun- warmed earth and something fresh and clean that was hard to describe but deeply comforting.

It completely overturned everything they thought they knew about potatoes, which had always been either dry and hard to swallow or bland and tasteless.

“This… this is really a potato?” one middle–aged man who had tasted it widened his eyes and muttered. “I bought potatoes at the official counter just last week. Compared to this, those were basically trash.”

The young man who had tested the potatoes with his device came from a slightly better–off family. Every week he gritted his teeth and bought the cheapest natural food he could afford to improve his family’s meals.

He felt the difference most strongly. Excited, he said, “I… I’ve never had potatoes this good. Seriously. This flavor is unbelievable.”

The people who had been hesitating because of the price forgot all about budgets and value the moment they tasted that incredible flavor. Thoughts of cost and practicality were tossed aside.

The simple pleasure of good food took over.

“Ma’am, give me three more.”

“Ma’am, five more. No, 10. I’ll just work some extra hours this week.”

“Add five more for me. This taste is worth 180.”

The crowd heated up again, even more intense than before.

People rushed to scan and pay, afraid that if they were too slow, they would miss out.

Elizabeth’s wristband device kept chiming with payment notifications, one after another. To her ears, the crisp sounds were sweeter than any music.

With so many people crowded around buying, even more passersby grew curious.

Some well–dressed individuals who looked like freight hub employees or travelers also walked

over.

“What’s going on here? Why’s it so busy?”

“What are they selling that’s so popular?”

“Looks like potatoes?”

“Potatoes? Selling potatoes in the plaza? What is this?”

When someone told them the potatoes were selling for 360 stellar coins each, the newcomers immediately showed contempt and disbelief.

Who knows where they came from? A bunch of idiots with too much money to burn.”

His words did make some of the newly arrived onlookers pause. Doubt appeared on their faces.

But the customers who had already tasted or purchased the potatoes were not happy.

The young man immediately pushed up his glasses and shot back, “What do you know? Have you ever tasted premium potatoes from the counter that taste like this? If you haven’t tried it, don’t run your mouth. These are absolutely worth the price.”
