Chapter 113 A Happy Moment

The kids rushed over right away. When they saw the bright red fruit in the box–something they had never seen before, giving off a sweet smell–they were all stunned.
They crowded around it, heads close together, making quiet sounds of amazement, but no one dared to touch it.
“So pretty…”
“It smells so good…”
“It must be sweet, right?”
They swallowed without thinking, staring at it.
Seeing how they wanted to touch it but didn’t dare, Elizabeth softened. “These are called strawberries. They’re really tasty. Go ahead and share them. They don’t last long, if you don’t eat them, they’ll go bad
soon.”
Hearing that, the kids finally moved carefully.
Under Timothy and Selina’s direction, every child, including the older ones like Simon, Tasha, and Shiloh, received one.
Tasha held her small strawberry, her eyes full of nostalgia and disbelief.
She’d eaten strawberries before back in the kingdom, but they were expensive luxury items.
She never thought she’d see them again on this barren Garbage Planet.
And the smell of this strawberry was even richer and more tempting than any she remembered.
She carefully took a small bite. Instantly, a burst of intense sweetness and juicy flavor filled her mouth, making her eyes go wide!
How could this strawberry taste this good?!
It was way better than any fruit I had ever eaten!
She forced herself to stop halfway and carefully handed the rest to her mom, Tiffany, who was standing nearby. “Mom, try this! This strawberry is so, so good!”
Tiffany quickly waved her off. “No, you eat it. This is a reward from Ms. Schofield for you kids. Finish it yourself.”
But Tasha insisted, holding out the half strawberry without pulling back.
Tiffany looked at her daughter’s bright, eager eyes, then at Elizabeth, who was quietly smiling nearby. In the end, she gave in and took it, taking a bite.
The next second, Tiffany froze.

The indescribable sweetness and the sense of fresh energy instantly took over her taste buds.
She stared at the half strawberry in her hand, shocked. “Th–this strawberry… How can it be this fragrant and sweet?”
It completely changed everything she thought she knew about strawberries, or about fruit in general!
Watching the kids carefully enjoy the strawberries, their faces full of pure happiness, Elizabeth couldn’t help but smile.
She turned to Tiffany, who was still savoring the taste, and said, “I need to send something out. I’m heading to the recycling station.”
Tiffany immediately replied, “The recycling station? Ms. Schofield, do you want me to go with you?”
Garbage Planet was chaotic; having someone with you was safer.
Elizabeth waved her off. “I’ll be back soon. Just keep an eye on the farm and make sure the work here stays on track.”
Before Tiffany could say more, Elizabeth quickly hopped onto her bike.
The engine gave a low hum as the hover system activated, lifting the bike about half a foot off the ground.
With a soft buzz from the power core, the bike shot forward smoothly like a streak of silver, a light breeze lifting the strands of hair on her forehead.
Rusty metal scraps, cracked ground, piles of trash—it didn’t matter. The bike kept a steady hovering height, speeding forward with almost perfect stability.
Along the way, she saw some scavengers digging through the trash.
Hearing the engine, most of them looked up cautiously. Some hid right away, while others stared with dull, guarded eyes as the clearly high–end vehicle passed by.
Elizabeth kept her eyes straight ahead, gripping the handlebars and staying ready for anything.
The closer she got to the recycling station, the messier the surroundings became. The smell in the air grew
even worse.
Suspicious eyes watched her from dark corners, sizing up the lone rider and her not–so–intimidating appearance.
But when they noticed her calm, almost cold expression, most of those bad intentions quietly faded.
On Garbage Planet, anyone who could ride a hover bike alone like this was never simple.
