“Mrs. Hewitt, please go ahead,” Jeremy said respectfully, turning slightly toward her.
“Do you know anything about setting up a private cargo route?” Elizabeth asked directly. “For example, a route connecting Planet A001 to the kingdom’s main shipping lanes.”
Jeremy was sharp. The moment he heard that, he understood what she was thinking.
A hint of surprise flashed in his eyes. “You’re planning to build a private route on Planet A001?”
“Yes.” Elizabeth nodded. She didn’t explain why. “Do you think it’s possible?”
Jeremy didn’t answer right away.
He thought for a moment, then spoke carefully, “Mrs. Hewitt, according to the kingdom’s laws and route regulations, individuals or companies are allowed to apply for cargo routes–as long as they aren’t in military or core sectors.”
Elizabeth’s eyes lit up.
But Jeremy continued, “However, when it comes to Planet A001–or any place classified as an Exile Planet–the process becomes much more complicated. The review is far stricter than for normal planets.”
“What’s the main difficulty?” Elizabeth asked.
“The most important point,” Jeremy said seriously, looking at her, “is that the applicant must have a strong and reliable force to guarantee safety.”
He explained in detail, “Exile Planets are different. The population is complex, and the risks are high. The kingdom would never allow a route with potential danger to connect directly to its core. So the applicant must prove they have enough power to control both ends of the route and handle any risks during transport.”
He paused, then added, “Especially when it comes to stopping crimes—like hijacking ships or sneaking into the kingdom. You must be able to scare off or eliminate those threats.” He gave an example. “Take the garbage recycling stations on Exile Planets. On the surface, they look like normal companies. But every large cargo ship they own is registered with the kingdom. They may look like regular freighters, but they are heavily modified. They carry strong defense and attack systems. Their firepower is enough to deal with most pirates and small armed conflicts. Some even have self–destruct systems installed in the core area. If a ship is taken over by hostile forces and becomes a threat to the kingdom, a remote command or preset program can trigger the self–destruct to remove the risk completely.”
Elizabeth was shocked.

She hadn’t expected that a simple cargo route would involve such strict military–level requirements.
This was no longer just business. It touched on security and defense.
Jeremy continued, “So the first step–and the most important one–is having an approved ‘force. This could be your own registered private security force. Or you could sign a long–term escort contract with a qualified security company. After that, you need to submit a detailed report to the kingdom’s Interstellar Security Committee. This includes your force setup and emergency plans. Then you go through a very strict review.
“If you pass, the committee will give you a safety certificate. Only with that can you apply to the Interstellar Route Authority. After that, you still need to plan the route, pass environmental checks, and pay a large deposit and management fees.”
Jeremy summed it up, “In general, the technology and money are actually the easier parts. The hardest barrier is getting approval for your ‘force. The kingdom will never allow a route that criminals could use to enter its territory.”
After hearing his clear explanation, Elizabeth fell into deep thought.
She had thought the main problem was money. But now she saw that money wasn’t the biggest issue.
The real problem was force.
With the small size of her farm and her current manpower, she was nowhere close to meeting the standard.
“I understand. Thank you for explaining,” Elizabeth said sincerely.
Jeremy’s words gave her a clearer picture of the challenge ahead–and also showed her the direction she needed to go.
Jeremy gave a slight bow. “You’re welcome. This is just general information. There may be other options. If you’re serious about this, you could ask Mr. Hewitt. Because of military needs, he has set up routes on newly developed planets before. He should know this well.”
Ask Cristian?
That so–called husband of mine?
Forget it.
We’re not close.
