“Rules? Hah! I make the rules on Centria Planet!” Being stopped over and over, Maddox temper finally snapped. He reached out and shoved at Desmond. “Move!”

Desmond did not budge an inch. With a swift motion, he caught Maddox’s wrist and held it in place. The grip was firm enough to stop him completely, yet controlled so it wouldn’t injure him.

Maddox winced, his expression changing. The bodyguards behind him immediately stepped forward.

At the same time, Yale gave a subtle signal. His two guards advanced as well.
