Chapter 334 Same for Me
Orion reached out and took Melton’s hand. The grip was rough with calluses, but warm and steady.
“It’s really you! Thank goodness! You’re fine! You….” Melton gave his shoulder a heavy slap, strong enough to shake most people, but Orion stayed still.
A flicker of surprise crossed Melton’s face before it softened into deep relief.
Their reunion quickly drew attention from people nearby.
Fiona came over as well. She looked at Orion and Melton, then gave them an understanding smile.
Other members of the Third Military finished their registration and slowly gathered over, just in time to
see the scene.
A few military family juniors who had heard rumors about the past incident froze in shock.
“That’s… Melton? The one Emery exiled?”
“Wasn’t he supposed to have serious mental power damage? Like, basically finished? How does he look better than us?”
“He’s working here now?”
“No way, he looks completely normal! The military’s ruling back then…”
The whispers stayed low, but their eyes kept shifting between Melton and Orion.
Neither of the two paid any attention to them.
After the initial moment passed, Melton pulled Orion aside toward a quieter spot near the sales area. Humus followed silently behind.
“How did you end up here?” Melton asked, worry in his voice. “And your injury… What’s the situation now?”
He remembered that battle clearly. Orion had stayed behind to cover the retreat, and his mental core had taken a heavy hit. It couldn’t have been light.
Orion didn’t answer right away. Instead, he asked back, “What about you? I looked everywhere for you. The military records were a mess. They said you were sent to some remote planet to recover, then you disappeared. How did you…” His eyes moved across the busy farmland. “How did you end up here? And your condition…”
He could sense it clearly. Melton’s mental power field was calm and steady. It wasn’t at its peak, but it was stable, without a single trace of collapse or chaos. For someone once labeled as “severely damaged, near collapse,” it was nothing short of unbelievable.
Melton smiled, a quiet, hard-earned ease in it. He looked like someone who had clawed his way out of the abyss and still couldn’t quite believe he was alive.
He tapped the ground under his feet. “I ended up here. The boss saved me.”

Chapter 334 Bame for te
He briefly explained how he was sent away and left to die on Garbage Planet A001, and how everything changed because Elizabeth casually gave him a potato out of kindness.
After that, she took him in. He worked here, ate the farm’s natural food, and his mental power damage slowly but steadily improved.
I’m not fully back to my original state, but the collapse symptoms have been gone for a long time. I can live normally and handle moderate training. If this continues, full recovery isn’t impossible. His tone stayed calm, but his eyes showed real hope.
Orion listened quietly, emotions building inside him.
So that was it.
Melton’s situation was almost the same as his.
The only difference was that Melton had found this place earlier and actually received real help.
“Same for me,” Orion said after a pause. He didn’t hide anything in front of someone he trusted. “After I was injured, my level dropped from S to B. Doctors said recovery was unlikely. Later, Humus got lucky. He lined up at Mercury Plaza and managed to buy potatoes and sweet potatoes from here. After I ate it, I felt it immediately. Now…” He paused, his voice lower, but firm. “I’m back to A-level, but I’ve kept it hidden.”
Melton’s eyes lit up. He slapped Orion’s shoulder again. “Good! I knew you’d pull through!”
He was genuinely happy for him.
