Chapter 354 Blueprint
Fiona kept her smile polished and her voice carrying. “Given the response to today’s staff meat, the lar has decided that starting tomorrow, we’ll be offering a limited daily supply of our Farm Nutrition: Sets at three fixed service times. Eight in the morning, noon, and six in the evening
The crowd erupted.
“Every day? Starting tomorrow?”
“I’ll be here first thing, I don’t care how early.”
“All three services? How many portions? Same price?”
Fiona raised a hand and waited for quiet. “Pricing and purchase limits remain the same for now. 10,000 stellar coins per portion, one per person per service. To keep things orderly, we’ll be running a combined reservation and walk-in system.”
She laid it out clearly. “Starting this afternoon, the farm would open a meal reservation desk beside the sales area. Guests could register, pay in full, and receive a confirmation slip. Confirmed reservations could collect their meals directly at the designated service time, no waiting in line.”
“What about people who don’t reserve?” someone called out.
“Walk-ins are welcome at each service window, subject to whatever ingredients remain that day, on a first- come basis. That said, for anyone who plans to come regularly, we strongly recommend reserving ahead. We can’t guarantee availability for walk-ins.”
The crowd processed this quickly, and the math wasn’t difficult. Paying upfront was a small inconvenience. Not getting a portion at all was a much larger one. For people who weren’t worried about the money and were exclusively worried about missing out, a guaranteed reservation was an obvious choice.
“Where’s the reservation desk? I want to book lunch and dinner for tomorrow right now.”
“I’ll take three days.”
“Hold a spot for me, I’m on my way.”
The crowd shifted and moved again, this time with a clear destination. Not the frantic scramble of before, but a purposeful surge toward the patch of cleared ground beside the sales area that Fiona had indicated.
She handed off the initial registration and queue management to two of her sharpest staff on the spot. then turned and walked briskly into the farm’s residential zone, already pulling up her device as she moved and started firing off messages to the farm’s construction and maintenance crew.
“Mr. Rose, it’s Fiona. I need you to gather some people and pull the heavy-gauge alloy framing and the thermal-rated canopy material from storage. Yes, the leftover stock from the warehouse expansion. Location is the open ground east of the sales area, the spot we’d blocked out for a rest area but never broke ground on.”
She didn’t slow her pace. “Scale it for 1,000 people seated at once. Full roof cover, weatherproof, good airflow, level ground. For seating, use the folding long tables and benches from storage, whatever we have,

all of it. I need this standing and ready before the eight o’clock service tomorrow morning. Not after. Before.”
The instructions kept coming, fast and precise, covering site layout, materials, staffing, and logistics.
She had the whole thing mapped in her head already, the sudden, sprawling project of making meal service a permanent fixture reduced to a sequence of concrete, actionable steps.
She even circled back to flag sanitation and waste disposal, firing off a separate message to the team that handled the farm’s environmental systems before she’d finished the first conversation.
While Fiona moved through the farm like a current with somewhere urgent to be, Desmond was on his break rotation at the main gate, crouched in the shade beside his post with a still-warm meal container balanced on one knee, about to eat lunch.
He lifted the lid. The smell came out fast, the same smell that had been stopping people in their tracks all afternoon, and even Desmond, who was not a man given to visible reactions, felt his throat move.
He picked up his
