I paced the cell in the basement of the makeshift police department. Divide was

unincorporated, so we essentially acted as pack enforcers, with badges and uniforms that

made the human tourists comfortable. Mazzie had tricked me in here last night and took all

the keys to the basement so nobody would find me here. She was smart, I had to give her that;

she knew I was already on edge, that Creedon wasn’t going to be present was of little

Three hours later, I was staring up at the ceiling in the dark when my phone came up with an

alert. It was the camera’s at Jake’s place. I stood on the bed finding bars and clicked on it.

What I saw had me seeing red. Two wolves I didn’t know and what they were doing had me

livid. One shifted and started throwing his shoulder into the door. I clicked over to the chat.

Carter: Mazzie get me out of here now! They are at Jake’s place!

Mazzie: Carter it’s for your own good. We can’t stop this. It will show your hand.
