Her Tears Are His Weakness novel Chapter 189

Leonardo pushed his cart to the checkout. He scowled and started taking the things out one by one.

The cashier was a little intimidated by Leonardo's intense presence, but she still couldn't resist checking him out because of how good-looking he was.

She found herself sneaking glances at Leonardo and got spooked by his serious expression. After that, she quickly looked down and focused on scanning the barcode, but she couldn't stop herself from looking back up.

The cycle just kept repeating indefinitely. Eventually, the cashier managed to scan everything and let out a long sigh of relief.

With a dark expression, he stormed off with the shopping bags.

Meanwhile, Ryan and his friends stayed in the corner, watching discreetly. They only came out after Leonardo had left.

Ryan looked at his buddies, feeling confused. "Did I do something that made him angry?"

Usually, Leonardo was cold and distant, but he had never been this upset before. Ryan felt like he'd done something unforgivable.

His buddies around him nodded in agreement. "You must have pissed him off because he looks super mad. If he weren't so composed, I'd think he was going to kill you. Watch out on your way home, Mr. Shaw. I'm worried he might hire someone to come after you."

Ryan was horrified. He just greeted Leonardo, and now he had to deal with this. The price of saying hello these days was way too high.

He played it cool and glared at his friends. "What are you talking about? Leonardo and I get along fine, so he wouldn't do that to me."

"You're right. We were just joking. Don't take it seriously."

"Let's go. Time to grab some booze."

"Thanks for treating us, Mr. Shaw."

The group continued walking onward cheerfully, but Ryan couldn't get into the mood. He felt a chill running down his spine.

Samantha went back to the car first.

The chauffeur noticed Samantha coming back alone and was a little curious. "Why are you by yourself, Mrs. Garrett? Where's Mr. Garrett?"

"Just give it to me. I'll carry it. I didn't think it through earlier because the situation was so urgent. Sorry about that. I know I was wrong."

Samantha was quick to admit her mistake, but Leonardo's expression was still dark. He didn't let her touch the shopping bag at all. "I'll carry it myself."

Wasn't this obvious? That was the attitude when Leonardo threw a fit.

Samantha knew she was right. "I got this. Just leave it to me."

She insisted on taking the shopping bag, so Leonardo didn't stop her and just got in the car. She quickly put the stuff away and hurried back to the car.

Leonardo only bought two packs of steak, some vegetables, and some seasonings. The bags weren't too heavy, so Samantha was baffled when he got so worked up over it.

She thought she was unfair to him earlier. But at this point, it was clear that he was still moody as ever. She was just too naive.

The partition inside the car stayed up the whole time. It slowly made its way out of the parking lot.

The chauffeur acted like nothing was wrong and just kept driving.
