Her Tears Are His Weakness novel Chapter 211

Layla sighed helplessly and walked into the kitchen. "If you're hungry, you can just tell me."

"I want to make you breakfast," Samantha replied.

Layla didn't respond, but she felt warmth in her heart. It was hard to resist someone who cared. However, she wasn't prepared to allow Samantha into the kitchen just yet.

"I've got this covered. Go and wait outside."

"How about I watch you cook? Maybe if I watch enough, I'll learn."

Layla shot her a cautious look but ultimately agreed and added, "You can watch, but remember, don't touch anything."

"Got it."

Samantha stood by, eagerly watching, like a curious student. Every time she saw Layla in the kitchen, the latter made it all seem so effortless. Everything seemed to be under control, as if cooking were the simplest thing in the world.

But the moment it was Samantha's turn, it felt like all the tasks became overwhelmingly complicated, and she was left scrambling. As soon as the gas stove lit up, her nerves would be on edge.

Not long after, breakfast was ready—a delicious and mouthwatering spread.

Samantha exclaimed in awe, "Layla, you're amazing! How could a simple breakfast spread smell so good?"

Layla glanced at her with a smile. "It's because you cracked the eggs well and sliced the sausages nicely."

Samantha stuck out her tongue. It was clearly a forced compliment, but it felt so good to hear and filled her with delight.

She quickly grabbed a plate and served Layla, saying, "You eat first, Layla. I'll take care of the rest. I'll wash the pan and plates later."

Layla accepted the plate from Samantha, speaking as she walked toward the dining table. "I'm not in a rush. I took the day off today. So I'm not going to work."

"Don't they deduct your pay if you take a day off?"

The best part of hanging out with her best friend was that one didn't need makeup or fancy clothes. Samantha could just throw on a jacket and go.

She removed the mesh bandage wrap covering the gauze on her stitches. She was still young, so the wound would heal fast. Only a small patch of gauze remained over the wound. It wasn't noticeable, but it gave her a fragile look.

Both Samantha and Layla were naturally beautiful, and even when dressed so casually, they still drew stares everywhere they went.

The two of them had an absolute feast at a barbecue restaurant. Samantha paid for all the expenses from start to finish.

It wasn't until they were done eating that Layla suddenly realized. "Uhhh… you're injured. Should we really have—"

"We're done eating. I'll go pay now." Samantha rushed to the counter to settle the bill.

She feared that if she were even a second too slow, Layla might grab her by the neck and shake all the food back out of her. She'd already eaten anyway; there was no taking that back.
