Her Tears Are His Weakness novel Chapter 224

Samantha couldn't resist Layla's enthusiasm and reluctantly picked a decent-looking, clean-cut escort.

Layla, on the other hand, confidently chose three more. The escorts competed for her attention, circling around her like she was royalty.

At first, Samantha didn't quite get it. But slowly, it started to make sense. It was no wonder so many women came here for fun.

One of the escorts leaned in and brought a glass of alcohol to Samantha's lips. "Let me feed you, miss."

Samantha cringed at the line and felt even less like drinking. She was fine watching others, but playing along felt awkward.

It was Layla who came to her rescue and smoothed things over. "She's injured and can't drink. Don't you have juice or something? Go get her some juice."

"Oh." The escort immediately looked uninterested. There wasn't much commission to be made off a glass of juice.

Layla added, "She's hungry. Go and get her some food. And while you're at it, count yourself in on the drinks we're ordering tonight."

With that, the escort immediately lit up with a bright smile. "Alright! I'll go and get it right now!"

Samantha thought, "What a two-faced goblin."

"Wait!" Samantha called out to the escort. "Make the food for two!"

Layla hadn't eaten dinner either, and drinking on an empty stomach could spell trouble.

Leonardo was on a private jet back to the country. He stared at the mountain of paperwork in front of him, and his eyes ached from the strain. Even on the way home, he refused to waste a single moment.

He leaned back and closed his eyes for a brief rest.

Simon, who was sitting next to him, couldn't help but mutter under his breath, "Mr. Garrett, are you really not going to give your wife a heads-up?"

Leonardo tilted his head back, his Adam's apple moving slightly. "I want to surprise her."

"Want me to take it for you?" one escort asked.

"Let me drink that for you!" another butted in.

They all competed to take the drink for her, but Layla just grabbed her glass and downed it. "It's just a drink, so there's no need to fight over it. I'll do it myself!"

Samantha frowned. "Drinking on an empty stomach is going to mess up your gut."

"I'm fine. I'll eat later." Layla waved Samantha off.

Samantha merely stared at Layla since she couldn't talk her out of it. Her own stomach was aching from hunger, so she had no choice but to start eating by herself.

Her phone on the coffee table suddenly vibrated.

She was too busy eating to grab it. Unexpectedly, the escort next to her snatched it up and said, "Miss, you have an incoming call. I'll answer it for you."
