Her Tears Are His Weakness novel Chapter 243

Samantha kept her head down. Her eyes were glued to her phone as she anxiously checked for any messages.

If Leonardo was upset, she would've rather he just scolded her and gotten it over with. The silence was what really made her uneasy.

Just as she neared campus, a message finally came through.

Leonardo asked, "Are you at school yet?"

Samantha replied, "Almost."

He wrote, "Be careful."

She replied, "Got it."

That was it. Just a simple exchange. There was no word about Yara, and it was as if none of that drama had even happened.

Samantha finally exhaled, feeling a weight lift off her chest. It didn't seem like Leonardo planned to scold her after all.

She decided to take the win if he genuinely wasn't angry or just didn't feel like bringing it up. If he wasn't mad out loud, it didn't count.

A voice blared over the subway's intercom. "This stop—Jedo Academy of the Arts."

Crammed into the packed train, Samantha tried to squeeze her way toward the door just as her phone started ringing.

It was just brilliant timing. She didn't dare stop to answer and risk missing her stop, so she shoved her way off the train first.

By the time she reached the platform, the call had already ended. She hadn't answered in time.

The number looked random—it was probably a scam. She didn't think much of it.

Today was a big acting class for the Department of Drama. When Samantha got to the classroom, she wasn't late, but most of her classmates were already dressed in leotards, scattered in groups across the floor, and chatting away.

Days had passed since then. The swelling was long gone, so no one could see the bruise. But the damage on the inside? That hadn't healed one bit.

And it was all Samantha's fault.

When Chione looked up and locked eyes with Samantha standing at the door, her smile froze. Noticing the shift in her expression, the other students turned to see what she was looking at.

Spotting Samantha, someone called out, "Hey, did you get the notification from the Evergreen's audition finals?"

"Yeah! Chione already got hers. Only 20 people made it. There's someone from the other class, too. If we have three from our school, that would be insane!"

"I saw on a bunch of clickbait pages saying that there were a dozen actual celebrities who showed up for the auditions. We're basically competing against professionals. Even getting two through is a win. But three? Those in Jedo Film Academy are going to lose their minds."

"Haha! Our school's just better than theirs!"
