Marina was caught off guard for a moment when she saw Daron get out of the driver’s seat. “What are you doing here?” asked.
It hadn’t even crossed her mind that Daron would show up to pick her up.
Daron walked around the front of the car, taking in her tired expression before answering. “Just here to pick you up,” he

A flicker of emotion flashed in Marina’s eyes at Daron’s words. “Honestly, you didn’t have to go out of your way for me. I could’ve driven myself home,” she said.
As Marina spoke, Daron reached out, took her hand, and slipped his arm around her waist, then picked her up and set b gently in the car, the whole move undeniably intimate.
Marina didn’t resist, but her ears grew hot and red. Daron leaned in to fasten her seatbelt, his voice calm and steady “You haven’t had a break all day, and after work, you rushed straight over here to handle things. I’m worried you might g distracted while driving,” he said.
Marina bit her lip and gave a small smile as she answered, “I grabbed a coffee this afternoon, so I’m wide awake right now. Daron didn’t say a word. He just closed the passenger door, slid back into the driver’s seat, started the engine, and drove them home.
On the drive home, Marina was on the phone nonstop, answering call after call. By the time she hung up, they had already arrived in the garage.
Daron pulled the car to a stop, shot her a sideways glance, and teased, ‘Ms. Finley, looks like you’re super busy lately. Once you leave the Zamora Group, am I gonna have to get on your calendar just to see you?”
Marina laughed and replied, “Appointm

Daron let out a low chuckle and reached over to unfasten her seatbelt. As he did, he leaned in, bringing himself close to her Marina’s heart raced as she stared at Daron’s handsome face, just inches away

Chapter 390
Marina felt all her emotions ignite under the heat of Daron’s kiss. Just when they were about to lose control, the gar suddenly creaked open.
Marina quickly shoved Daron away. Daron snapped back to reality, shooting a sharp look toward the door.
Belinda was standing there with a broom, looking super awkward, before she quickly shut the garage door. With Bel barging in, the tension between them quickly faded, and they both calmed down.
Marina ducked her head, fussing with her shirt that Daron had rumpled, then shot him a grumbling, slightly resentfi

Seeing Marina all flustered, cheeks flushed, Daron chuckled softly. “Relax. Belinda’s lips are sealed. She won’t breathe word,” he said.
Marina just bit her lip and didn’t say anything. Once they’d straightened themselves out, they got out of the car and h into the living room.

While Marina was blow–drying her hair in the bathroom, Daron strolled in, still in his robe, and with a little smile, took hair dryer right out of her hands.
She’d seen Daron yawning a bunch earlier and thought he’d already crashed for the night. It turned out he was still up: totally not what she expected.
After Daron finished blow–drying Marina’s hair, she gave the bathroom a quick tidy–up. But before she could finish, Daro slipped his arm around her waist and scooped her up.
“No need to clean up, Belinda will handle it later,” he told her. “I’m feeling a little sleepy,” he said.
Marina blinked, caught off guard, and blurted out without thinking. “If you’re tired, go ahead and get some rest.”
Daron replied, I’m not done yet.”
Marina was confused by his words, but without having a chance to reply, and without another work, Daron just picked her up and headed straight for the bedroom
