The Campbell family was pulling out all the stops for this wedding, sending invitations to all the big shots in their circle.
Elnora sat at the vanity in her white wedding dress, letting the stylist and makeup dresser fuss over her.
She stayed calm and cooperative the whole time, quietly letting them do their thing.
Her bridesmaid, Elara, stood next to Elnora, looking at her in the mirror, and couldn’t help but gasp.
“You look absolutely stunning,” Elara said.
“Even I’m kind of falling for you, and I’m a woman. Mr. Campbell is probably going to lose his mind when he sees you,” she added.
Elnora smiled, gazing at her reflection in the mirror. Her whole expression softened with happiness.
Elara caught Elnora’s smile, leaned in close, and playfully teased her.
“Elnora, I honestly thought you weren’t all that excited about this wedding. But seeing you so happy now, I feel relieved,” Elara said.
Elnora froze for a second, her eyes lingering on her reflection in the mirror as her smile faded a bit.
‘Am I really looking forward to this wedding?’ she asked herself.
I suppose I don’t really object to it,’ she thought.
Once the styling was done, the stylist left the room.
Just then, the voices of the groomsmen drifted in from the hallway. Elara hurried over and quickly shut the door.
Albert’s groomsmen had never actually met Elnora in person. They’d only ever seen her in business magazine interviews.
To them, she was still the ice queen-cold, distant, and never smiling.
So when it was time to pick up the bride, nobody dared to get too rowdy. The whole vibe was respectful and a little formal.
They slipped their gifts through the crack in the door, and after Elara collected them, she opened the door.
Albert walked in, holding a bouquet. He was dressed to the nines in a custom-made designer suit, every detail perfectly put together.
He was all smiles, radiating that unmistakable air of someone who was on top of the world.

A slight smile played at her lips, her checks blooming with a soft blush. In that moment, she was truly enchanting.
Albert’s deep, dark eyes seemed to grow even deeper; his gaze locked on her.
Elnora’s smile took the groomsmen, who had just squeezed in through the door, completely by surprise.
None of them ever expected to see such a sweet smile on her famously frosty face.
A flicker of annoyance flashed in Albert’s eyes as he walked over to Elnora, blocking everyone else’s view of her.
He suddenly leaned in close, and Elnora looked up at him.
Her heart suddenly went haywire for a moment.
But in the next second, Albert reached up and gently plucked a tiny bit of debris from her hair.
“There’s something here,” he said.
Elnora just blinked, not sure what to say.
“Thanks,” Elnora said.
Albert said, “No problem.”
The photographer was ready to capture Albert kissing Elnora, but instead, he just tidied up her hair.
“Mr. Campbell, how about a kiss for your bride? Let me get that shot,” the photographer urged.
“That was such a beautiful moment. Why waste it like that?”
Kaelin, one of the groomsmen, snickered and joked.
“Albert, are you afraid Ms. Finley might push you away if you try? Is that why you held back?” Kaelin teased.
His words made everyone burst out laughing.
Elnora reached up, grabbed Albert’s tie, leaned in, and pressed her lips to his.
The photographer caught the moment right away.
Elara had set up a bunch of games, and the groomsmen played along perfectly, not missing a beat.
Once the games were over, Albert bent down, scooped Elnora up from the bed, and carried her out of the
hotel room.
Daron, Marina, and the others were waiting in the hallway.

As Albert carried Elnora past them, she smiled at Marina.
Marina smiled back, her eyes shining with emotion.
The whole group was in high spirits, laughing and celebrating as they made their way down the hallway.
Daron kept Marina close, making sure she didn’t get jostled by the crowd.
Carter stepped out of the room next door, a smile on his face.
Originally, Elnora hadn’t planned to invite Carter to the wedding.
But the Campbell family insisted, so he ended up getting an invitation after all.
Mary stood beside Carter, watching as Elnora and the others disappeared down the hallway. Something complicated flickered in her eyes.
“Now that both Elnora and Marina are married, you can finally relax, Carter,” Mary said with a gentle smile.
Carter nodded, keeping quiet.
A tangle of emotions stirred inside him as he kept his gaze fixed on the direction Albert and the others had
gone.
They finally arrived at the wedding venue.
Albert and Elnora stood at the entrance, ready to welcome their guests.
When the wedding ceremony began, Carter walked up to the stage and placed Elnora’s hand in Albert’s.
On this special day, Carter got a little choked up. He admitted he hadn’t given Elnora enough love as a father, and apologized for not being there for her when she was growing up.
He asked Albert to look after Elnora for him, to give her the care he couldn’t.
As he spoke, Carter quietly wiped away a tear.
Elnora’s gaze stayed calm and distant the whole time.
When it was time to exchange rings, Albert went down on one knee in front of Elnora and gently slipped the ring onto her finger.
From a shadowy corner, a figure slipped out of the wedding venue in a hurry.
After the ceremony, Elnora and Albert went to change into their toasting outfits.
Elnora had just stepped out of the room in her toasting dress when Elara walked over, her face serious.
“Mr. Campbell left,” Elara said.
Elnora’s expression grew a little distant at the news.
