Chapter 589
Stella’s expression suddenly turned a bit awkward.
She lowered her head. gave a small nod, and mumbled quietly, “I got it.”
Elara felt nothing but disgust seeing Stella like this.
Thankfully, Stella didn’t hang around. She just grabbed her suitcase and walked right into the office.
Elara glanced at Stella’s back as she left, her expression souring.
‘She must’ve come straight here from the airport,” Elara muttered. “Why is she acting like that? What’s she trying to prove?
You and Albert are the real couple, but she’s making it look like you’re the other woman. It’s honestly disgusting.”
Elnora didn’t respond to Elara’s complaints. She simply said in a calm voice, “Don’t you have work to do? Let’s go.”
After hearing Elnora’s words, Elara nodded and walked with her toward the office.
They’d barely made it a few steps when Albert came out of the office building.
Stella wheeled her suitcase straight over to him.
She planted herself right in front of Albert, saying something Elara couldn’t make out.
Elara cast a careful glance at Elnora.
Elnora caught Elara’s gaze and said in a flat tone, “Why are you looking at me? Eyes on the road.”
Oh, Elara mumbled.
Thank goodness Elnora didn’t let them get to her.
Albert was such a jerk. He’d forced a kiss on Elnora that morning, and now, barely a few hours later, he was already tangled up with his ex again.
Elara felt it was so unfair to Elnora.
ust thinking about that security footage made her want to reach through the screen and rip Albert’s lips right off.
Elnora kept an unruffled look the whole time.
As she and Elara walked past Albert and Stella, Elnora didn’t show a hint of emotion.
Elara could hear Stella sobbing and couldn’t help but feel irritated.
Seriously, what an ultimate drama queen, Elara thought. ‘Come on, it’s just a married couple kissing Why is she making such a fuss? What’s she even crying for?
Elara was just done with it.
Elnora glanced at her and said in a calm voice, “Relax”
Elara nodded silently.

Chapter 589
Albert watched Elnora walk right past him, running a hand over his brow in frustration. He glanced at Stella, who was standing in front of him, and said, his tone flat, “You made it back safe, so what are you crying for?”
Stella’s face stiffened. She hadn’t expected Albert to react this way after she’d tried to explain herself about last night
She bit her lip, struggling for words, and said, “I don’t really go to those kinds of parties, so I accidentally drank something I shouldn’t have.
‘Albert, thank you. If you hadn’t been there, I don’t even know what I would’ve gotten myself into.”
Albert shot her an indifferent glance and said flatly. “Wasn’t it Kamron who invited you? If something happened, shouldn’t he be the one to take responsibility?”
Stella’s face fell.
Noticing the irritation in Albert’s eyes, she took a shaky breath and rushed to explain, “Albert, there’s nothing between me and Kamron. He was just helping me find a job.”
Albert just let out a casual “oh,” didn’t bother saying anything else, and walked straight back into the office.
Stella reached out, trying to grab Albert’s sleeve, but he was moving too fast. Her hand just missed, and she ended up grabbing nothing.
She suddenly felt a rush of anxiety, like she really was about to lose Albert this time for real.
Stella quickly grabbed her suitcase and hurried after him.
But the effects of whatever she’d taken the night before still hadn’t fully worn off.
After just a few steps, her legs gave out and she collapsed right there in the lobby.
Her suitcase clattered to the floor with a loud bang.
Albert didn’t even break stride. He headed straight for the elevator, completely ignoring the commotion behind him.
The receptionist hurried over and helped Stella to her feet.
Stella bit down hard on her lip, her face as pale as a ghost.
Tears fell silently down her cheeks, making anyone who saw her feel a pang of sympathy.
Elnora and Elara headed back to the office floor together.
As Elnora stepped out of the elevator, her phone rang. It was an unfamiliar number.
She answered, pressing the phone to her ear, and realized it was Zack calling.
‘Elnora, it’s me. Don’t hang up. I need your help with something,” Zack’s voice came through, sounding urgent
Elnora’s voice was flat.
‘I doubt there’s anything I can help you with, Zack,” she replied.
Zack hurried to explain, “It’s about the Craicaville project. I’m currently in Craicaville, working on a charity project
“Elnora, didn’t you say before that if you ever got the chance, you wanted to see what Craicaville looked like when it was still

an oasis? Well, I’m here now, and I want to turn Craicaville back into an oasis.”
your hers
Elnora listened to Zack, took a deep breath, and tightened her grip on the phone. Her voice was icy as she said, “Zack, what’s the point of all this?”
‘Zack, is this really necessary?”
Zack’s voice was low, almost amused as he spoke.
‘I just want you to forgive me. You once said if I ever screwed up, all I had to do was turn Craicaville into an oasis and you’d let it go. Is that deal still good?”
Elnora didn’t answer, just holding the phone in silence.
