His Dangerous Love On Ice (Olivia and Zane) novel Chapter 174

Olive’s POV

The tiny little deal we had, the changing of the locks, was somehow tied to this Cole’s current revelation.

“So instead you kept it secret,” I said bitterly. “Just like you kept Cole watching us secret. Just like you’ve kept so many things secret.”

“I was trying to protect you,” Zane said quietly.

“By lying to me?” I challenged. “By making decisions about my life without my input? By treating me like I’m too fragile to handle the truth?”

“You’re right,” Zane admitted. “I fucked up. I should have told you about the cameras the second I found them. Should have let you decide how to handle it instead of making that choice for you.”

I looked at Cole, who was standing there with his arms crossed, clearly waiting for this to somehow work in his favor. “You’re disgusting,” I said to him, my voice cold. “You violated me in ways I can’t even fully process right now. And you’re standing there acting like you had any right to do what you did.”

“I was protecting you-” Cole started.

“No,” I interrupted. “You were controlling me. Stalking me. Violating my privacy in the most invasive way possible. And if you ever come near me again, I will file every restraining order, every police report, every legal document I can to make sure you never get the chance to hurt me again.”

Cole’s face went pale.

“And you,” I said, turning to Zane. “You removed the cameras. That’s good. But you should have told me. You should have trusted me to handle it.”

But he remained quiet, not saying a word.

I felt exhausted suddenly, completely drained, like all the fight had left my body.

“I need to go,” I said, pushing past both of them toward the exit.
