His Housewife Had Secret Identities novel Chapter 555

He had assumed that after their separation, Niamh no longer cared about him at all. But the truth was, she was the one who had saved him, time and time again. Before their marriage, during it, and even after… Niamh had quietly done so much for him.

And where had he been when she was kidnapped, harassed online, and framed? He had been nowhere.

Jonathan clutched at his chest. The pain in his heart was so intense it felt like he was suffocating, and black spots danced in his vision.

“Jonathan, what are you doing out here?” Sprague’s voice came from behind him.

Jonathan turned, his eyes searching the space around his father. “Where’s Niamh?”

“Why are you still looking for her? She’s out there getting cozy with another man, making a fool of you! What’s so special about a woman like that? Listen to your father and divorce her already,” Sprague said curtly.

“I’m not divorcing Niamh.”

“Have you lost your mind? If you don’t divorce her, how can the Thomas family form a marriage alliance with the Quinns?!” Sprague roared.

Just then, Jonathan saw Ramona emerging from the hospital room, escorted by Marigold. A cruel smile touched his lips.

“I never intended to form an alliance with the Quinn family,” he announced, his voice carrying down the hall. “I only agreed to meet Ramona to make Niamh jealous.”

Upon hearing his words, the professional fake smile smile on Ramona’s face vanished. Sprague, realizing she had overheard, rushed with Marigold to usher her away, stammering explanations for Jonathan’s behavior.

Jonathan was left alone in the hallway. The shadows seemed to cling to the sharp, sculpted angles of his face, painting him in shades of loneliness. On impulse, he pulled out his phone and dialed Niamh’s number, as if only she could fill the void inside him.

With that, Elmer ended the call and slipped the phone back into Niamh’s purse. In the silent hospital corridor, the only sound was the shattering of a phone as it hit the floor.

Niamh was helping Lana shop at the mall. Though she had helped Lana pick out quite a few outfits and accessories, that wasn't the main goal of their trip.

“Jarrett Guthrie said he’s hit a wall developing a new system, so I thought maybe a gift would cheer him up…” Lana had explained when she called Niamh. With no experience in relationships and little confidence in her own taste, she had asked Niamh for help.

But everything expensive was out of Lana’s price range, and everything cheap felt inadequate. They had spent the entire afternoon shopping and, while Lana's wardrobe had grown, the intended gift remained unchosen.

“Lana, maybe you should think about it differently?” Niamh suggested, starting to feel a bit tired.
