"Yes, exactly!" Jonathan let out a sigh. "She's just not as talented as you. Honestly, she's not really cut out for design."
"That's why she should just come clean about the plagiarism, apologize sincerely, and put an end to all this before things get out of hand… To tell you the truth, I'm actually an apprentice of the designer behind the Grand Piano Collection."
When Marina said this, Jonathan's eyes lit up.
"He absolutely despises anyone stealing his work. If Niamh drags her feet and doesn't apologize, I'm afraid she'll get sued and have to pay a fortune in damages…"
Marina's face was full of concern for Niamh. Jonathan reached out to gently stroke Marina's silky hair, his eyes soft, as if praising her kindness.
Meanwhile, the trending accusations that Niamh had plagiarized the Grand Piano Collection were only getting worse. All day, fans camped outside the FY Group's entrance, refusing to leave.
It wasn't until late at night—after the last of the fans finally dispersed—that Niamh dared leave the office. By the time she got home, it was nearly midnight.
Someone was standing at her front door.
Niamh's heart jumped. For a second, she thought her address had leaked and some crazed fan had come to harass her.
But as the figure turned, she saw Jonathan, who looked at her as if she were a ghost, his brow knitting in annoyance.
"Not happy to see me?"
Niamh hadn't expected Jonathan to show up at her place.
"Not really…"
She answered honestly, but Jonathan just gave a little smile, clearly not buying it.
"So, what do you want?"
"Let's talk inside."
His tone was commanding, as always. Niamh hesitated, not wanting to let him in, but she knew there was no way she could stop Jonathan if he insisted.
He walked right past her and into the apartment.
Niamh still remembered the last time Jonathan came by—it was to return the divorce papers.
Could it be that he'd finally agreed to the divorce?
Her nerves tightened as she watched him pull a sheet of paper from his pocket and hand it over.
But it wasn't divorce papers.
