“Why are you talking like that, Eli?” Natalie was deeply shocked by Eli’s words. “You don’t trust me anymore?”

“Why were you willing to do all of this to me? What did I ever do to you that you were willing to spread all those ridiculous rumors?” Eli’s voice echoed among the crowd of students who had begun gathering after seeing her speaking loudly to Natalie.

“Can you prove everything you’ve said about me?”

Natalie swallowed with difficulty, trying to put on a confused expression in front of her friends who were still standing nearby.
