The next day, Mia Carter received a call from Aunt May. She needed to pay $200,000 for the initial medical

Mia went to the bank, withdrew her fixed deposit, and transferred the money to Aunt May’s account.

She still had two days of leave left and hadn’t decided how to return to the company yet. So, she figured she’d go to the hospital to check on Carly.

An hour later, Mia arrived with a bag of fruit and pushed open the ward door.

Mia walked past their bed, but after only a few steps, her pace faltered. She saw someone standing next to Carly.

‘Mia?” Aunt May looked flustered when she spotted her. she climbed down from the bed quickly. “Didn’t I tell you that you didn’t need to come today!?”

Mia walked over and set the fruit on the table. “I still have two days of leave. I wanted to see her.”

Then, she turned her head to look at Jaxon Rivers, who was standing by the window with a bright grin.

‘I heard you were going through a rough patch, so I came to check in.”
