The sudden words left Mia Carter stunned for a moment.

Mia explained, “A blind date set up by a colleague. I couldn’t get out of it because of some unexpected circumstances. I’ve already rejected him.”

“You’re just too charming.” Nina carried Toby out of the kitchen, muttering to the baby, “Your godmother is just too charming, isn’t she? Just wait until she gives you a little future daughter-in-law, okay?”

Mia didn’t take lan’s words to heart.
